Small Pots at Table 431

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Tony Miles opened to 350,000 and Shannon Shorr defended his button. Miles bet 425,000 on the {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop and Shorr called. The turn was the {a-Spades} and Miles continued for 690,000. Shorr folded.

A while later, Nishant Sharma opened to 350,000 from early position and got calls from Jorden Fox and Konstantin Beylin in the blinds.

The flop came {2-}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. It checked to Sharma who bet 450,000 and Beylin was the only caller. The turn {q-Clubs} and river {5-Hearts} were checked by both players and Beylin won the pot with {4-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a missed gutshot straight draw, but a rivered pair.

Trudeau Chips Up After Dinner

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Aram Zobian raised to 360,000 from the cutoff and Sylvain Loosli on the button made it 1,050,000 to go. Jeff Trudeau four-bet out of the big blind and that claimed the pot uncontested.

One hand later, Trudeau limped in and Jan Mach checked his option from the big blind. On the {K-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, Trudeau min-bet 160,000 and Mach called. Both checked the {9-Clubs} on the turn and Trudeau then bet the {5-Clubs} river for 375,000. Mach called and mucked when Trudeau flipped over the {K-Spades}{3-Spades} for kings and fives.

Manion Likes the Trey-Deuce Offsuit

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Nicolas Manion raised to 390,000 from the small blind and Eric Froehlich called from the big blind.

The flop came down {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Manion continued for 450,000. Froehlich called and both players proceeded to check the {3-Diamonds} turn and {6-Hearts} river.

Manion tabled {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for treys and deuces, Froehlich mucked, and Manion won the pot.

Shorr Doubles Through Miles

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Shortly after play resumed, Tony Miles raised to 350,000 from early position, Shannon Shorr three-bet shoved 1,415,000 from the big blind, and Miles snap-called.

Shannon Shorr: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Tony Miles: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Spades} flop all but decided it and the {7-Hearts} on the turn sealed it for Shorr, making the {5-Spades} river inconsequential.

Gerrits Doubles Through Lybaert

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Bart Lybaert raised to 275,000 from early position and saw Martijn Gerrits three-bet to 800,000 from the hijack. The rest of the table folded and Lybaert raised to 3.5m, which was enough to put Gerrits all in. The latter made the call and was in good shape for a double up.

Martijn Gerrits: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Bart Lybaert: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Board: {7-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Lybaert couldn't find the board he needed, and Gerrits secured a full double-up in the last hand before the dinner break.

Shorr Short in Dinner Break

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

Shannon Shorr raised to 265,000 from under the gun. Michael Dyer called in the small blind and Ming Xi called in the big blind. The {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop checked to Shorr who bet 315,000. Dyer quickly folded before Xi check-raised to 775,000. Shorr called.

The turn was the {3-Clubs}. Xi bet 775,000 and again, Shorr called.

The river was the {8-Diamonds}. Xi flung a stack of 100,000 chips into the middle and Shorr asked for a count. The bet was 1,300,000 and Shorr tanked, including nearly five minutes into the dinner break, before calling.

Xi showed {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a turned full house, threes full of sevens, and that was enough to take down the pot.
