Chen Loses Showdown

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Four-way to the {3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop, the action was checked to Jonas Mackoff who bet 2,000 and earned a call from a player behind him. James Chen called and both he and Mackoff checked the {6-Hearts} turn. The player in position placed in a small bet of 2,300 and only Chen continued to the river.

The {10-Spades} completed the board and Chen check-called one more time, albeit reluctantly. He conceded further 3,500 as he couldn't beat {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} in the showdown.

Chait Tries to Chop, Gets Shown Quads

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Craig Chait raised on the button and he found a caller from the big blind. They went to the {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} where Chait continued for 1,400 and got check-raised to 3,600. Chait called and the {6-Spades} turn went check-check.

The river card was the {6-Clubs} and the big blind moved all in for 13,000. Chait paused for a while and then tossed in one chip, calling. His opponent showed {k-Spades}{6-Hearts} for quads and Chait flashed {9-}{9-} before throwing his cards into the muck.

Cruel Runout Eliminates Alfa

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Dave Alfa was all in for his last 13,000 or so and the flop had already been dealt by the time the action was picked up. It read {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Alfa looked to earn a double with {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} versus {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

However, the {10-Spades} turn gave Alfa's opponent a gutshot and he filled up on the {j-Hearts} river, eliminating Alfa in a brutal fashion.

Jordison Uses Big Stack

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Angela Jordison
Angela Jordison

Angela Jordison called a three-bet from middle position against a player in the cutoff. The flop came {3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The turn was the {7-Spades}. There was more betting on the flop as the pot was larger as the players went to the river which was the {j-Spades}.
Jordison then put a large stack of 5,000 in the middle which easily covered her opponents stack who went deep into the tank. He seemed very uncomfortable despite the massage that he was receiving thanks to the predicament that Jordison had forced him into.

After at least ninety seconds, he released his cards into the muck and Jordison added more to her already big stack of chips.
