Who Doesn’t Want to Be a Millionaire? Guaranteed money is always a good thing, but being guaranteed $1,000,000 for a top proze in a poker tournament is a great thing, and that’s what the winner of Event #19: The Millionaire Maker - $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em has to look forward to - becoming an instant millionaire.

This is the seventh consecutive year the WSOP has held this popular event, and every year it has had incredible numbers, with this year being no exception. Day 1a had an impressive 3,930 entries, and Day 1b, which already has 2,239 entries thirty minutes before cards go in the air, is expected to be just as big, if not bigger.

For those not aware, the Millionaire Maker has been given a makeover. The tournament now uses the big blind ante format, has one-hour levels, and starts players off with 25,000 in chips, as opposed to the 7,500 chips in previous years. Players are also allowed one re-entry per flight, which many players, including those who didn’t bag from Day 1a, will undoubtedly be taking advantage of today until registration closes at the end of Level 10.

Who will join the previous six 'Milly Maker' bracelet winners as lucky number seven remains to be seen, as this event is scheduled to run over the next few days, concluding on June 12th. Day 1b cards are in the air at 10 a.m. local time and players are scheduled to play 11 one-hour levels.

The PokerNews team will be on hand throughout the day bringing you all the action and live updates.
