Boxers Haye and Harrison Hoping to Go All 11 Rounds Today

Spotted early in today's field are not one, but two former professional boxers.

The first, David Haye, is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2002 to 2018. He's known for not only having held multiple world championships in two different weight classes, Heavyweight and Cruiserweight, but he was also the first British boxer to reach the final of the World Amateur Boxing Championships, where he won a silver medal in 2001.

The second former professional boxer spotted in today's large field, Audley Harrison MBE, also from Great Britain, competed from 2001 to 2013. As an amateur he represented Great Britain at the 2000 Olympics, going on to win a gold medal in the Super-heavyweight division and becoming the first-ever British boxer to win Olympic gold in that division. Harrison was excited to be competing in today's event, as this Twitter post from him indicated.

In the Miranda Room, Rodrigo Maclean took down back-to-back pots.

In the first hand, action folded to the player in the hijack and he raised to 400. The player in the cutoff then three-bet to 1300, and was called by both Maclean and the original raiser. After the first two players to act checked the flop, Maclean then put out a bet of 2,200, which was enough to get both players to fold.

In the next hand, after action folded to Maclean he raised to 400, and Olivier Busquet defended from his big blind. The heads-up players saw a flop of , and after Busquet checked, Maclean continued for 1,000, which got a fold from Busquet and a second straight was pot shipped to Maclean.
