McKenzie Shows Aces

Level 35 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Vincent Meli opened to 1,600,000 and it was called by Timothy Adkison in the cut-off. Andrew Mckenzie thought about his move for a minute and moved all in.

His two opponents folded and McKenzie showed {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} with a smile.

Curry's Gamble Pays Off

Level 35 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Adrian Curry
Adrian Curry

Adrian Curry raised to 2,400,000, and action folded to Beau Battista, who three-bet shoved his remaining 12,800,000.

When action folded back around to Curry he made the call, saying, "Gamble, I came here to win," and the players tabled their hands.

Beau Battista: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Adrian Curry: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

The gamble didn't look too good on the {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades} board, but that all changed when the dealer put the {5-Spades} on the river, which gave Curry a set and eliminated Battista from the tournament.

Battista took it all in stride, saying it was ok because he had pretty much done the same thing to another player earlier in the tournament.

Double-Up for Calenzo

Level 35 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Kevin Calenzo moved all in for 6,700,000 under the gun and Kartik Ved made the call from the button.

Kevin Calenzo: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Kartik Ved: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

Calenzo was in bad shape to double up once more but a board {10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} gave him a full house. he is now up to 12,300,000.

Mylenki Takes from Baxter

Level 36 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Brynden Baxter raised to 2,200,000 and after some consideration, Peter Mylenki called from the blinds.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and Mylenki check-called Baxter's continuation for 2,100,000. The turn {q-Clubs} brought no betting action.

On the river {9-Clubs}, Mylenki fired 5,000,000 and it was enough to win the pot without more restistance.

Unfortunate Turn of Events for Wong

Level 36 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

After David Uvaydov raised to 2,500,000 from the under-the-gun position, action folded to Danny Wong in middle position. He tanked for about a minute before going all in for not much more.

When action folded back around to Uvaydov he made the call and the hands were tabled.

Danny Wong: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
David Uvaydov: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The {7-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop was safe for Wong, but his fortunes changed on the {4-Diamonds} turn, and didn't improve on the river, which sent him to the payout line.

Bustamante Doubles on McAvoy

Level 36 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Bryant Bustamante moved all in for around 9,000,000 and John McAvoy made the call.

Bustamante had the best hand, holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} against {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, and doubled up after the board brought {9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

Dream Flop for Gugliuzza

Level 36 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Anthony Gugliuzza
Anthony Gugliuzza

Anthony Gugliuzza raised from the small blind and Tomas Morlet defended the big blind. On the {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, Gugliuzza bet, Morlet shoved about 10,000,000, and Gugliuzza snapped him off.

Tomas Morlet: {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Anthony Gugliuzza: {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Morlet jolted out of his seat and begged for a ten. They remained hidden in the deck on the {j-Diamonds} turn and {2-Clubs} river, shipping another pot to Gugliuzza.

"I was just trying to steal, man," Gugliuzza apologetically said about his preflop action, and Daniel Gamer chimed in with a "yeah, that's totally insane," in regards to the perfect flop.

"That was a good flop," Gugliuazza said, deadpanned.
