Riehl Eliminates an Opponent

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

The pot was around 1,900 when the dealer fanned a flop of {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{8-Spades} that was checked around to the {3-Diamonds} turn. Calvin Anderson bet 1,800 from the small blind and the hijack called along with Ludovic Riehl on the cutoff.

The {j-Clubs} filled up the river and Anderson opted to check. The hijack moved all in for 4,600 and Riehl quickly called but Anderson folded.

The hijack tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for eights full of queens but that wasn't good enough as Rihl revealed {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for jacks full of queens to win the pot, sending his opponent to the exit.

Papazian Takes the Pot

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

Martijn Gerrits raised to 600 from under the gun and Cord Garcia called on the button and so did Clyde Shimp in the small blind. Alexandru Papazian raised to 3,000 from the big blind for only Gerrits and Garcia to make the call.

They all checked through the {6-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop tp the {8-Diamonds} on the turn. Papazian bet 2,500 and only Garcia went along.

The river completed the board with the {3-Diamonds} for Papazian to pick up the pot with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} after they had both checked through it.

Nines Are Good for Sun

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

The player under the gun raised to 300 and Yunsheng Sun, on the cutoff, three-bet to 800. Action folded back to the original raiser who added the remainder to call.

Players saw a flop of {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} that was checked through to the {5-Clubs} turn. The player under the gun checked and Sun fired 700. His opponent check-raised to 2,100 and Sun stuck around with a call.

The river brought the {3-Diamonds} and both players opted to check. The player under the gun showed {k-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Sun turned over {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} to take down the pot.

Gerrits Gone Thanks to Loosli

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

Martijn Gerrits was seen leaving the tournament area but was kind enough to relate what had happened:

"I had {8-}{8-} and was up against Sylvain Loosli on the button. The flop was {a-}{8-}{6-}, I bet, he raised, I shoved, he called with {a-}{6-}. An ace came on the river. At least it's good to lose early instead of later."
