Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Cary Marshall at a previous WSOP
Cary Marshall at a previous WSOP

Cary Marshall came into the day with 47,000 and according to him was knocked down to 16,000 in the first level. However, he's spun his ten big blinds back up to become the chip leader with almost 600,000 in chips.

"I chipped up a bunch," said Marshall. "Just on the bubble; abusing the bubble. Got a bunch of nits so it was pretty easy!"

Marshall is a two-time ring winner, cashing in numerous senior events on the WSOP Circuit. He also has a deep run in the WSOP Main Event to his name, finishing 71st for just over $100k in 2013.

Godinez Sends a Player to the Rail

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Marcia Godinez called a player's all in on a {6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop holding {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} against her opponent's {10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The turn {7-Diamonds} and river {7-Spades} didn't help the all-in player's cause and he was eliminated. This is Marcia Godinez's third cash in a row in this event after finishing 22nd in 2017 ($8,004) and 144th in 2018 ($2,209)

Two Eliminations to Burst the Bubble

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A player moved all in for 40,000 from under the gun and Paul Litwak called in the small blind.

All-in Player: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Paul Litwak: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

There was no help for the all-in player on the {9-Hearts}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} runout and he was eliminated.

Tournament officials asked dealers to complete the hand they were on and hold up.

During that time Steven Wenrich raised to 12,000 in the small blind and a shortstack pushed all in from the big blind. Wenrich called.

All-in Player: {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Steven Wenrich: {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

There was a king on the {2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop and the {5-Spades} turn had the all-in player drawing dead. The river was the {j-Spades}. There was a brief wait for the player to see if anyone else would be eliminated, but none were forthcoming and he bubbled the $1,000 Super Seniors event.

Cerjance Doubles On Money Bubble

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Lorna Cerjauce
Lorna Cerjauce

With over 40,000 already in the pot and the money bubble looming, Lorna Cerjance moved her remaining stack of 116,500 in on a board showing {5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and her opponent called. Cerjance stated before the players tabled their hands, "we must be chopping".

Lorna Cerjance: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Opponent: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The two players were not chopping as the seven on the turn hit both their hands but Cerjance got the better end of the deal as she turned the nut straight while her opponent had top set.

The {10-Diamonds} fell on the river and Cerjance doubled up during hand-for-hand play on the money bubble.

Green Sends Opponent Packing Before Money Bubble

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Clifton Green
Clifton Green

Two-way action headed to the flop between Clifton Green and his opponent who was all in.

Clifton Green: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Green was behind his opponent, although the flop of {3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} gave him the nut flush draw.

The {q-Diamonds} on the turn put Green in the lead and he just needed to dodge a non-club king to eliminate his opponent.

The river came the {j-Spades} and Green raked in the pot as his opponent left the tournament area.
