Campbell Turns Luna to the Rail

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Dustin Wood opened to 600 from under the gun and was called by Janis Campbell on his left along with two other players. Vanessa Luna raised the pot to 4,100 on the button and only Wood and Campbell called.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Clubs} and the action checked to Luna who fired out a bet of 10,000. Wood folded but Campbell shoved all in for a little over 25,000. Luna quickly called off her stack of 24,700 and the cards were tabled.

Campbell showed {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for two pair which was in front of Luna's {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. The turn was the {j-Clubs} to give Campbell a full house which meant the {3-Clubs} on the river, which made Luna a flush, did not matter.

Strelitz Can't Pull the Trigger

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, the action was checked to Daniel Strelitz on the button who bet 5,000 into a pot of around 7,000. The small blind folded and James Dempsey called from the big blind.

The river was the {7-Spades} and Dempsey quickly checked. Strelitz thought for a moment but decided to check it back. Dempsey turned over {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for two pair and Strelitz couldn't beat it. Dempsey pulled in the pot as he's off to a quick start with over 70,000 chips already.

Pot-Limit Omaha

Three players saw a flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and the action checked to Esther Taylor who fired out a bet of 4,000. The big blind called and the other player folded.

The turn was the {q-Spades} and the big blind checked again. Taylor fired out another pot-sized bet of 13,500 and her opponent decided to muck his hand. Taylor turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and made sure her table was aware that she "gets aces dealt every hand".

Harris Flops Quads

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

With about 6,600 in the middle on the river, the board read {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, Eugene Harris' opponent in the hand bet 2,900 and he raised to 8,000. After a few seconds pausing his opponent called. Paris tabled {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{x-}{x-}, his opponent sighed and showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and threw his other two cards in the muck.
