Williams Takes a Seat and Wins a Pot

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

David Williams just took a seat in the tournament and fell right into the big blind. There was a raise to 1,500 in middle position and Williams defended.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and both players checked to the {5-Spades} on the turn and the {j-Hearts} on the river. Two more checks and Williams tabled {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} which bested his opponent's {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Herrin Gets Called On The River

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

After a couple limps pre-flop, Anson Tsang raised it up to 3,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded, Chris Herrin called and his neighbor called as well from middle position.

On the flop of {8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}, both Tsang and Herrin check-called the middle position's bet of 2,500 and the {5-Hearts} fell on the turn. The action checked around to the {j-Hearts} on the river, Tsang checked once again and Herrin fired 8,000. The opponent to his left called and Tsang threw his cards in the muck.

Chris Herrin tabled {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, for two pair jacks and fives, the middle position player tabled {7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Herrin was awarding the pot.

Dejesus Ships the River

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

The board read {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds} with 8,500 in the pot. Anthony Dejesus was in the cutoff and heads-up with the player on his left. Dejesus was facing a pot-sized bet of 8,500 on the turn and he made the call.

The river brought the {j-Hearts} and his opponent checked this time. Dejesus splashed in a bet of 20,000, more than enough to cover his opponent's stack of just over 15,000. He thought for a minute and then flicked his cards to the muck, allowing Dejesus to rake in the pot.
