Perfect Time for Aces for Normand

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Frederic Normand was recently eliminated in Event #40: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha but wasted no time in jumping into this fun event. In fact, he's already on his second bullet and this one seems to be going much better than the first.

Normand opened to 2,400 in the hijack and was called by the button and the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {j-Hearts} on the turn.

The action checked to the button again who tossed in a bet of 3,000 which got the big blind to fold. Normand thought for a couple of minutes before shoving all in for 25,800. The button snap-called and turned over {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for two pair.

Unfortunately for her, Normand revealed {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} for a stronger two pair. The river was the {k-Diamonds} and Normand found himself a double up.

The big blind checked again and Woodward tossed in a bet of 3,000. His opponent stuck around to see the {a-Clubs} on the river. Once the big blind checked again, Woodward dropped in a bet of 5,500. His opponent check-raised all in and Woodward sent his cards to the muck.
