Jaffee Finds a Double Up After Dinner

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Jared Jaffee
Jared Jaffee

No-Limit Hold'em

Jared Jaffee raised to 6,000 on the button and the big blind defended. The flop came {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} and the big blind checked to Jaffee who continued for 6,500. The big blind check-raised all in and Jaffee called off his remaining 30,000.

Jared Jaffee: {k-Spades}{7-Spades}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

The turn brought the {k-Hearts} and Jaffee was in the driver's seat with top pair and a flush draw. The {a-Clubs} on the river changed nothing and Jaffee found a double up.

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Gerhart Needs the Jack on the Flop

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

After a couple of preflop raises, Kevin Gerhart got the last of his 22,200 chips in the middle and was heads-up against one player. Gerhart turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} which had his opponent in bad shape with {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} and Gerhart flopped a set of jacks to take control of the hand. The {3-Diamonds} sealed the deal on the turn with the {7-Spades} on the river giving his opponent a full house as well, just to rub some salt in.

Anderson Keeps Stackin'

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Calvin Anderson opened from early position, the player on his left called, the button called and the blinds came along as well.

The flop was {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, both blinds called and Anderson bet the whole pot of 25,000. All four players mucked fast and he added to his already dominating chip lead at the table.

Anderson Way Out Front

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

In the last pass through the grey section of the Brasilia Room, Calvin Anderson had stacks upon stacks sitting in front of him. With over 300,000 chips, Anderson appears to be the clear front-runner as the players are set to play the last level before the dinner break.
