Konstas Takes From Soininen

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Ioannis Angelou Konstas
Ioannis Angelou Konstas

Two big stacks sit next to each other over on table 416 and one of them just took a small hit to his stack in Niko Soininen. The Finn, sitting on almost half a million in chips, was involved in a battle big blind versus button and faced Ioannis Angelou Konstas. The latter raised the {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs} turn to 13,000 and Soininen called.

On the {q-Spades} river, Soininen check-folded to a bet of 30,000 and Konstas raked in the pot.

Burns Rivers Nut Flush to Eliminate Opponent

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Paul Volpe opened to 4,500 from under the gun and the player in the hijack called before Kahle Burns potted to 20,400 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Volpe, and he called before the hijack back-raised to 84,000. Burns called, as did Volpe.

The flop landed {3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Volpe checked. The hijack moved all in for 53,500, and Burns iso-shoved over the top for 90,700 as Volpe mucked.

Burns: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Clubs}

The turn and river landed the {4-Diamonds} and {10-Spades}, and Burns rivered the nut flush to eliminate his opponent.

Chabra Takes from Beauprez with No Showdown

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Ajay Chabra
Ajay Chabra

On a flop of {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs} with 16,000 in the middle, Ajay Chabra led out for 10,000 from the big blind before John Beauprez raised to 21,000 on the button.

Chabra called, and the {j-Diamonds} on the turn checked through.

The river fell the {4-Clubs}, and Chabra checked. Beauprez bet 35,000, and after about a minute of deliberation, Chabra called.

Beauprez mucked his hand, and Chabra collected the pot without showdown.

Mermelstein Takes From Seidel

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Firas Sadou limped in and Aaron Mermelstein raised to 9,000, which Erik Seidel on the button and Laszlo Bujtas in the big blind called, while Sadou folded.

On the {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop all three active players checked to the {10-Spades} turn and Bujtas check-folded to a bet of 8,000 by Mermelstein and a call from Seidel. There was no betting action on the {2-Hearts} river and Mermelstein turned over {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a flush to scoop the pot.
