Yamagishi Pays Ricci Off

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Colten Yamagishi raised from early position to 2,000, Ricci called from the cutoff and the blinds came along.

The flop was checked around on the {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, when the {q-Hearts} hit the turn, both blinds and Yamagishi checked, Ricci bet out 3,000 and only Yamagishi called.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and after Yamagishi checked again Ricci bet out 3,500. Yamagishi said "I know I am beat" but threw in the chips to call anyway.

Seymour - From The Football Field to the Poker Field

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Richard Seymour
Richard Seymour

Another notable taking advantage of the late registration option was Richard Seymour. Seymour, a three-time Superbowl champion and Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist, is quite a formidable opponent on the felt as well.

He has $577,041 in total live earnings, with his best cash being a third place finish in the PokerStars Carribbean Adventure (PCA) $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Event in January 2018. Seymour is looking to add a gold bracelet to put on his wrist to go with the three rings that he already has for his fingers, because there's no such thing as too much bling.

Ladies Love Broad

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

After Waxman checked the {q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop, Broad continued for 3,500, which was enough to get both Hengsakul and Waxman to fold. Broad then tabled {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} for top set and scooped the pot.

Nezhoda Makes Aces Full for a Double Knockout

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

The action began with the player raising under-the-gun to 2,000, Rene Nezhoda called from the button and the big blind came along as well.

The dealer fanned a flop of {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and after the big blind checked, the under-the-gun player bet out 3,000, Nezhoda flatted and the big blind overcalled.

The {7-Diamonds} landed on the turn and after the big blind checked again, the under-the-gun player bet out 8,000. Nezhoda flatted again and the big blind check-raised to 28,000. The under-the-gun player moved all of his stack in the middle for roughly 55,000. Nezhoda shoved the rest of his 78,000 stack in the middle and after thinking it over, the big blind called off his remaining 76,000.

Rene Nezhoda: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Under-the-gun: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Big blind: {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Nezhoda was in great shape, having one opponent drawing to one out and the other drawing dead. The {k-Clubs} landed on the river shipping Nezhoda a massive pot right before break.

Chatur Gets Punished for the Right Call

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

There were four players on the flop of {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} with roughly 10,000 in the pot, two players checked to Karim Chatur and he bet 3,700. John Armstrong was sitting beside him in the cutoff and he raised to 8,000, the two middle players folded and Chatur made the call.

The turn was the {2-Spades}, Chatur checked to Armstrong and he shoved all of his 35,800 in the middle. Chatur went deep into the tank for about five minutes, just as the clock was being called he decided to go with it and splashed in the 35,800.

Karim Chatur: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
John Armstrong: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Chatur was way ahead with Armstrong only needing a ten or a jack on the river to win, but lucky for Armstrong the {10-Clubs} smashed the river and he got a full double up.

Phillips Takes Two From Melton

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

In the first hand Daniel Melton raised it up to 1,600 from under-the-gun and got three callers, including Tyler Phillips from his big blind.

After the dealer spread a flop of {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Phillips led out for 3,000, only getting called by Melton. Phillips continued for 6,000 on the {a-Spades} turn, and after giving a quick look at his hole cards, Melton again made the call. Both players then checked the {a-Hearts} river, and when Phillips tabled {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} Melton sent his cards to the muck.

In the very next hand it was folded around to Phillips, and after he completed from his small blind, Melton checked his option from his big blind. Both players checked the {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, but Phillips fired 1,300 on the {7-Spades} turn, which got an immediate fold from Melton. Phillips showed the {10-Hearts}.
