Toffel Three-Bet Shoves

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Jakob Oliva raised from middle position to 5,500, and got called by both the players in the cutoff and on the button. After the small-blind player folded his hand, Daniel Toffel then three-bet shoved all in from his big blind. With action back on Oliva, he asked for a count. When the dealer confirmed 90,000 total, Oliva thought for a moment before he released his cards and the two remaining players quickly folded behind.

Oliva Takes One Out

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Brenda Clayton raised it to 6,200 from early position and was called by Jakub Oliva in middle position. The player in the next seat over then three-bet shoved for 19,300, getting called by both Clayton and Oliva.

After Clayton checked the {q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop, Oliva put out a bet of 14,000, which got a check-fold from Clayton, and the two remaining players tabled their hands.

All-in Player: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Jakub Oliva: {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and sent the player to the rail early on Day 2.

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Jordan Handrich raised to 5,500 on the button and Bryan Kim called in the big blind.

{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} appeared on the flop and both players checked. The turn fell the {9-Diamonds} and Kim bet 5,000, called by Handrich.

The river was the {q-Clubs} and went check-check. Kim showed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for two pair and won the pot after Handrich only showed a {9-Spades}.

Jan Nakladal
Jan Nakladal

Jan Nakladal was in the small blind, facing a raise from early position. Nakladal slid forward nearly all of his chips, roughly 55,000. Luca Testugini woke up with a strong hand in the big blind and he reshoved. The opener folded and Nakladal put in his last 1,000 or so.

Nakladal: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Testugini: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Testugini got the best of the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} board and Nakladal said, "Good game," before leaving the tournament area.

Belmonti's Ladies Hold

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Spencer Champlin raised it to 4,500 from under-the-gun and when it folded around to Andy Belmonte on the button, he made the call. The small-blind player folded, but Naoki Matsumoto, in the big blind, decided that the price to play would be 13,500, which both Champlin and Belmonti called.

Matsumoto continued for 17,000 on the {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop and was called by Champlin. With action on Belmonti, he went into the tank for over a minute before he announced "All in." It was now Matsumoto' s turn to tank for almost a minute before he released his hand, but Champlin made the call and the two players tabled their hands.

Andy Belmonti: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Spencer Champlin: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Belmonti saw that his overpair was good on the flop, but he would have to fade both Champlin's nutflush draw and overcard, which he did on the {10-Spades} turn and {4-Hearts} river, securing almost a full double-up.

Tran Forces a Fold on Brown

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Jimmy Tran started the action with a raise of 5,200 and Darold Brown called on the button as well as Chris Ferguson in the small blind.

The flop fell {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Tran continued for 12,800 after Ferguson checked. Brown min-raised to 25,600 and Tran called after Ferguson let it go.

On the turn {k-Hearts} Tran first checked and faced a bet worth 30,000 from Brown, leaving him with 28,500 chips behind. Tran considered Brown's stack and made a raise, putting Brown at risk for his tournament. After a minute Brown mucked his cards.

Kessler Flips Well

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

Following a 4,000-raise from under the gun, Allen Kessler three-bet to 15,000 in a middle position. A player from two seats over moved all in from the cutoff and Kessler called off for his 50,400.

Kessler showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and he was up against {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. The flop fell {2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Kessler was in good shape.

His opponent asked for a ten, and while he would eventually get one, it would be too late as the {j-Clubs} turn gave Kessler a full house. The {10-Diamonds} river was, therefore, harmless for Kessler who doubled up.

"Usually, when a reporter comes, I lose," Kessler said after the hand. Not this time, however.
