Savarese Check-Raises Ribouchon

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

On a {5-Spades}{10-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop, action checked to Florian Ribouchon in the hijack, who bet 1,800 into a pot of 3,000. The button called, as did David Savarese in the big blind.

Savarese checked the {q-Clubs} turn, and Ribouchon bet 3,500. The button folded, but Savarese check-raised to 7,000. Ribouchon called.

On the {a-Spades} river, Savarese bet 12,000, and Ribouchon folded.

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante
David Bach
David Bach

On a board that read {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} David Bach was contemplating a river bet of 15,000 into a pot of roughly the same amount from his opponent Matthew Wood. Bach thought it over for a good while before tossing in the one chip call. "Straight" said Wood immediately and flipped over the {q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. Bach nodded his head with a frown, re-checked his cards and mucked.

Carroll Finds Aces

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Action was on the turn with {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} out and Sergi Reixach bet 1,000 into the pot. Jim Carroll min raised to 2,000 and Reixach threw an extra chip in the middle.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and Reixach check-called a 3,000 bet, taking them onto the river. It was the {8-Hearts} and Reixach checked again. Carroll bet smaller this time, putting 2,000 over the line and Reixach called, then mucked when he saw Carroll held pocket {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

Chad Gives Pep Talk, Results In Aces

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Norman Chad was just seen standing behind the seat of Bryan Piccioli chatting with him and wishing him luck. The end of the conversation left the table in awe with Chad providing some deep, yet cryptic perspective on life.

Immediately following the conversation, Piccioli raised to 700 from middle position and was called by the small blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and the small blind check-called a continuation-bet of 500 by Piccioli.

The turn came {k-Spades} and the small blind checked. Piccioli fired another barrel for 2,000 and his opponent folded.

"Where is he?" Piccioli exclaimed, looking for Chad after the hand. He then showed the table {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}. "He gives me a pep talk and I get aces and flop top set!"

Zimmer Fortunately Folds Aces

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Action picked up on the turn with a decent size pot in the middle already with the board reading {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. Jonathan Zimmer bet 4,400 and was promptly raised to 15,500 by Sean Magee. Zimmer sat motionless considering the raise. After about a minute his stone facade cracked as he frowned, checked his cards and held them in his hand casually for a few seconds before folding them.

"I'll show this one, one time.' said Magee and he turned over the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

"I knew it," said Zimmer. "Feels good to get confirmation though. I had aces; good thing I didn't shove pre-[flop]"

"I guarantee you if you had shoved pre that king doesn't come, that's just how it works!" replied Magee with a smile, "Very nice fold."

Geibler Building Up

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

James Reed raised to 800 from under the gun, and was called by Paul Geibler on the button, as well as both of the blinds.

Action checked to Reed on the {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop, and he bet 2,200. Only Geibler called.

Reed continued for 4,200 on the {7-Spades} turn, and Geibler raised to 10,000. Reed folded, then patted the table and nodded towards Geibler while Geibler raked in the pot.
