Moshe Eliminated by Campanello

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Asi Moshe
Asi Moshe

Asi Moshe raised from the second position and a player in the hijack three-bet to 20,000 before Bryan Campanello cold-four bet to 75,000 out of the small blind. Moshe moved all in for 138,000 and the next player folded. Campanello called.

Moshe turned up {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, and while it would normally be a fair race with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}, Moshe knew he was in trouble as the hijack announced that he had folded ace-king.

Moshe bricked out on the board of {8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and he wished good luck to the table before leaving.

Nguyen Busts With Kings

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen

A few minutes ago, Scotty Nguyen moved tables and was caught by the ESPN crew. "I am moving to table 407, baby," he said. A few minutes later, however, Nguyen was no longer to be featured on said table.

According to the ESPN camera crew, he was all in preflop and Marios Savvides, as well as Clayton Fletcher, called. On a {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop, Savvides bet and that forced out Fletcher.

Nguyen turned over kings and Savvides had {a-}{q-} to remain ahead on a {9-} turn and {q-} river run out.

Hashem Beats Jaka in Massive Pot

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
John Hashem
John Hashem

With action picked up on the {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts} turn, John Hashem bet 60,000 out of the small blind and Faraz Jaka called in middle position.

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Hashem announced a huge wager of 250,000, equaling roughly the size of the pot. Jaka quickly called, but he learned that Hashem had him beat with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a rivered full house.

Jaka flipped {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for a flush and he conceded a big pot, allowing Hashem to vault over 1.4 million.

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

A massive hand between bracelet winners Nick Schulman and Joseph Cheong recently played out.

Cheong's chips were being counted out in front of him with the board reading {2-Hearts}{j-Spades}{k-Spades}{a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Both players had their cards face up.

Nick Schulman: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Joseph Cheong: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

Cheong sat in middle position while Schulman was in the small blind. Schulman had flopped a set but Cheong caught up on the turn and all the chips ended up in the middle after both players rivered a full house.

2018 Runner-Up Miles Eliminated

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Tony Miles
Tony Miles

Tony Miles moved all in for 68,500 from under the gun and was called by Shaun Zammit in the next position. All remaining players in the hand folded and the cards were turned over.

Tony Miles: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Shaun Zammit: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The board was {9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds} with Miles failing to catch up and he was sent to the rail midway through Day 2.

With the ESPN cameras on hand to follow him to the exit, Daiva Byrne remarked to the table "Who was that guy?"

The table explained that he had finished second in the Main Event last year.

"Well," said Byrne. "He won't be finishing second this year!"

Break After Level 13

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty Nguyen

Level 13 has finished and there are 1,647 players remaining according to the screens. They will play another two levels for tonight after a 20-minute break and once they return, the blinds will be 2,500/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante.

Here’s a look at some recent highlights from play:

Torre Comes from Slim Equity to Win Massive Three-Way All In

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Giovani Torre
Giovani Torre

A player in early position limped in, Shyam Srinivasan made it 16,000, and two players behind called, as did the limper. On the {3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, the limper bet 30,000, Srinivasan made it 100,000 and Hertsel Levy stuck it in from the cutoff for about 235,000. Small blind Giovani Torre jammed as well for 290,000 and Srinivasan quickly called after the other player mucked.

Giovani Torre: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Hertsel Levy: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Shyam Srinivasan: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Srinivasan was happy to be gambling with solid equity against a couple of sets, but he was left wanting on the {5-Diamonds} turn. It was Torre who improved on the river, nailing quads with the {3-Hearts}. He celebrated loudly and Srinivasan was disgusted with his miss.

Hachem Eliminated by Mills

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Joe Hachem
Joe Hachem

As recapped to us by Sean Mills, he opened to 11,000 from under the gun and the player in the cutoff three-bet to 30,000. 2005 Main Event champion Joe Hachem four-bet shoved for about 85,000 from the button and only Mills gave him action.

Mills tabled {a-}{a-}, well ahead of Hachem's {a-}{k-}.

The board ran out clean for Mills, ending Hachem's Main Event run on Day 3.

Puchkov Out with Aces Full Cracked by Madsen's Quads

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Jeff Madsen
Jeff Madsen

There was an open to 11,000 and it folded to Ian Pelz who made it 41,000 to go. Konstantin Puchkov was down to his last 75,000 and he put it all in. Jeff Madsen, who was sat on his direct left, raised it again, to 168,000 and both of the other players got out of the way.

Jeff Madsen: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Konstantin Puchkov: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

Puchkov's tournament life was in with the best of it and the {6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop did nothing to change that, with Madsen down to one out after they both hit a set. Incredibly he found it on the {k-Spades} turn and with no case ace on the {10-Hearts} river, Puchkov was sent to the rail in the most brutal fashion. Meanwhile, Madsen was last seen stacking his newly acquired chips.
