Wendlandt Survives, Fayant Busts

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Cards were on their backs between three players with {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} on the board. Jody Fayant was cooked with {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, while Henning Wendlandt had {a-Spades}{2-Spades} in front of him for flopped two pair. That was good for the pot as Preben Stokkan was showing {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

The main pot in the middle was about 1.3 million, and Wendlandt collected an additional 1,165,000 from Stokkan.

Nawa Takes Down Petrushevskii

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

After a couple of preflop raises, Hiroki Nawa and Sergei Petrushevskii got all of their chips in the middle with Petrushevskii being the player at risk for around 1,000,000.

Hiroki Nawa: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Sergei Petrushevskii: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

It was a coin flip and the dealer fanned the flop of {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Petrushevskii was still in the lead but Nawa picked up a straight draw to go with his two overcards. The {2-Spades} on the turn changed nothing but it was the {a-Diamonds} on the river that was the last nail in Petrushevskii's coffin.

Vilchez Talks Himself Into Folding Set of Jacks

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

On a board that read {2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Spades} Jesse Vilchez was faced with an river shove from Ryan Yu. The pot already had about 1,700,000 in the middle and Yu had Vilchez covered as Yu's shove was for 3,300,000, which was more than what Vilchez had left.

Vilchez began to talk at a volume that was just loud enough to be directed at Yu but also seemed somewhat meant to be muttering to himself.

"I have jacks. I have a set of jacks" he said as he talked through potential hands that Yu could have.

"I love you man, I love you" he interjected to Yu, in the middle of his deliberation, indicating that he was enjoying the big decision despite the stress of it. Meanwhile Yu covered his mouth with his hoodie and did not give off anything to Vilchez's talk.

"This is like a superhero" added Vilchez just before folding his hand which he said again was pocket jacks. Yu nodded and indicated that it was a good fold as he pulled in the chips.

Kapernaros Doubles Through Knackstedt

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

On the secondary feature table, Michael Kapernaros raised to 110,000 and Jordan Knackstedt called in the cutoff. The flop brought {q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} and Kapernaros continued for 190,000, Knackstedt came along to see the {9-Clubs} on the turn. A second barrel of 475,000 by Kapernaros followed and Knackstedt made the call before the {k-Clubs} came on the river.

Kapernaros emptied the clip and moved all in for 1.1 million and Knackstedt tank-called to get shown the {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the king-high straight. Knackstedt mucked {k-}{q-} for two pair and took a big hit to his stack.

Marchington Scoops Nearly a 6 Million Chip Pot

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Adedapo Ajayi opened to 130,000 in early position and Nicholas Marchington three-bet to 400,000 in the hijack. The action folded back to Ajayi who made the call. The flop came {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Ajayi check-called a bet of 350,000 from Marchington.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Ajayi checked again. Marchington pushed out a bet of 1,000,000 and Ajayi responded with a check-raise to 2,100,000. Marchington called and the {4-Hearts} on the river put four hearts on the board. Ajayi checked once more and Marchington quickly checked it back.

Marchington turned over {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a queen-high flush. Ajayi turned the {4-Hearts} on the river face down, indicating that he got rivered, before mucking his cards.
