Colpoys Four-Bets Brinkley, Then Calls His Bluff

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Dan Colpoys has been seen nursing a short stack throughout almost the entirety of Day 5. He was last seen with just over 600,000 and just shared the fact he got as low as 300,000 before chipping back up to 1.2 million "somehow, without showdown."

From there, Colpoys found a double with pocket aces and has won a few and lost a few pots since with the general trajectory upward. He started the following hand with around 3.1 million.

Colpoys opened from under the gun to 160,000 and action folded around to Andrew Brinkley, who was on the button. Brinkley asked him how much he was playing and he responded that he wasn't sure. Brinkley asked how that could be in a joking manner as Colpoys counted and cut out some chips to get a ballpark figure.

Brinkley announced a raise to 450,000 and the blinds got out of the way. Colpoys quickly four-bet all in.

Brinkly took about five seconds to fold, saying, "alright, I'll fold my jacks to you,"

"No you won't," said Colpoys as he turned over {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. A few people at the table laughed a little. "Show it, show the jacks," egged Colpoys as he pushed the two cards Brinkley had mucked and sent to the center of the table a little bit back in his direction. Brinkley responded pushing them away to the direction of the dealer.

"That's what I thought buddy. You didn't have jacks. You're f*****," laughed Colpoys as he finished stacking his newly accumulated chips.

One Round Penalty for Vilchez

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jesse Vilchez had previously banged the table when he was supposed to put in his blinds and apparently after mucked his cards preflop with so much power that they fell off the table. Floor staff gave him a warning and Vilchez just now did the same thing again to receive a one round penalty.

Bryant's Elimination Leaves All-Male Field

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Jill Bryant
Jill Bryant

On a {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop in what looked to be a three-bet pot with around 1.2 million in the middle, Jill Bryant shoved all in from the blinds for a little under 3 million. David Guay called immediately from the cutoff and turned over {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for trips.

Bryant was in awful shape with {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and couldn't find one of the remaining ladies on the {10-Spades} turn and {5-Hearts} river.

A round of applause rippled through the remaining tables as word spread that the last woman left in the Main Event had hit the rail.

Foxen Doubles Through Hunichen

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Alex Foxen

(Blinds still 30,000/60,000)

Alex Foxen raised to 120,000 from the cutoff, Chris Hunichen three-bet to roughly 360,000 from the small blind and Foxen called.

The flop was {2-Spades}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Hunichen bet 350,000 and Foxen took several minutes before he raised all in for 1,485,000.

"I have a hand, Foxen," said Hunichen.

After a little while, Foxen called the clock.

"I would never clock you in this spot. Ever," said Hunichen.

"I thought it was a while, but forget it," said Foxen softly, and the floor was never actually called.

After a little while longer, Hunichen called.

Foxen tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for a pair of kings, leading Hunichen's {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for a pair of jacks.

The {q-Diamonds} turn and {3-Clubs} river completed the board, locking up the double for Foxen.

Nielsen Blasts the River

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Brian Yoon raised to 120,000 from the cutoff and was called by Laurids Nielsen on the button. Sean Mills defended his big blind, taking the action three ways to a flop of {4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

Both Mills and Yoon checked before Nielsen took the initiative and bet 180,000. Mills called and Yoon got out of the way. The turn came {5-Diamonds} and Mills led out, betting 225,000. Nielsen called.

The river fell {7-Diamonds} and Mills fired again, putting out a bet of 485,000. After a few moments, Nielsen announced he was all in for Mills' effective stack of 1.65 million. It did not take long for Mills to fold and Nielsen added to his stack, eclipsing the 10 million mark.

Hachem Making the Right Decisions

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jill Bryant raised to 160,000 in the hijack and Lawrence Brandt called from the cutoff. Daniel Hachem eyed up Bryant's stack before sticking in a three-bet to 600,000.

Bryant quickly responded with a four-bet shove for 2,485,000. Brandt got out of the way and Hachem went into the tank. He asked for a count and struggled with a decision for at least two minutes. Hachem eventually folding, saying he held ace-queen.

"You had one over," Bryant pointed out. "I had kings."

Four-Bet Pot to Marchington

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Nicholas Marchington opened for 125,000 in the cutoff and was called by the player on his left before Preben Stokkan made it 525,000 in the small blind. Marchington made it 1.3 million and Stokkan peeled for a {4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop that checked through. They both checked the {5-Diamonds} and {3-Diamonds} as well, and Stokkan flipped over {q-Spades}{10-Spades}, which he mucked when Marchington showed {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.
