Gouveia Takes From Choupeaux, Then Doubles Him

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

There was around 30,000 in the pot on the river with the board showing {5-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} when Elilton Gouveia bet 16,000.

Victor Choupeaux went into the tank for several minutes before calling, but mucked when Gouveia turned over {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for a pair of kings.

Choupeaux was left with 12,000 after the hand and moved that stack into the middle on the next hand. Gouveia called with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, while Choupeaux showed {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

Choupeaux won the coin flip to double up to around 25,000. Gouveia, meanwhile, is sitting on a stack of around 78,000.

Chidwick Wins With Eights

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 1,000 from early position and had calls from the player in middle position and the big blind.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Chidwick continued for another 1,000. The player in middle position called, while the big blind got out of the way.

Both players checked down the {3-Clubs} turn and {4-Hearts} river. Chidwick showed {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of eights, and his opponent mucked.

Chidwick is now sitting on a stack of around 60,000.
