Nate Silver

Nate Silver's stack was approaching the danger zone on the bubble until he dragged in a big three-way pot.

Three bets each went in before the flop from Silver, Ray Dehkharghani, and Jason Somerville.

On the {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop, Somerville checked in the small blind, Silver bet in the big blind, then Dehkharghani called on the button and Somerville called too.

The trio checked through the {7-Diamonds} turn and the {7-Hearts} river.

Silver turned up {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for the winning full house and a pot to boost his stack over300,000.

Kurtzman Picks Up Aces, Chung Left Fuming

Level 16 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Brian Rast raised pre-flop and Eric Kurtzman called in position. Christopher Chung, in the small blind with only about 60,000 behind, thought about his options for about a minute before folding.

The flop came {8-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Chung stood up from his chair and yelled "Oh my god." Rast bet and Kurtzman called. On the {k-Spades} turn, Rast bet, Kurtzman raised, and Rast called.

The river came the {j-Hearts} and both players checked. Kurtzman showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and Rast mucked.

"I would've tripled up," said Chung.

Terrence Chan
Terrence Chan

Terrence Chan raised in middle position and got a call from Nate Silver in the small blind.

On the flop of {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, Silver led out and got raised by Chan. Silver called.

The turn brought the {6-Diamonds}, and Silver slowed down, checking to Chan who bet. Again, Silver called.

Silver checked again on the {k-Spades} river, and Chan continued betting. Silver called and saw Chan's {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs} which took down the pot and vaulted the Canadian back over 500,000.

Anthony Zinno Busts One Off the Bubble

Level 16 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

Play is now hand-for-hand on the bubble following the elimination of Anthony Zinno in a huge pot that vaulted John Racener back into the chip lead.

Preflop, Zinno raised in early position, Racener three-bet to his direct left, then Terrence Chan four-bet in late position. Zinno called off for his last 45,000 in chips and Racener called too.

On the {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, Racener and Chan began growing the side pot, with Racener check-raising a bet from Chan, which Chan called.

Racener then led out on the {4-Diamonds} turn and Chan folded.

Racener rolled over {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a flopped set and turned full house.

Zinno's {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} quickly went into the muck drawing dead, and the huge pot was pushed to Racener who now has the tournament chip lead.

Scott Tuttle
Scott Tuttle

Eric Kurtzman raised from the hijack and got a call from Scott Tuttle in the cutoff before Yuri Dzivielevski three-bet from the button. Both opponents called.

Action checked to Dzivielevski on the {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, and he bet, Kurtzman folded, and Tuttle raised. Dzivielevski called to see the {6-Hearts} fall on the turn.

Tuttle bet and Dzivielevski called. Tuttle led out again on the {9-Clubs} river. Dzivielevski went into the tank for several minutes, resting his head in his hand in deep thought, before folding.

"Feels like king-queen," said Brian Rast from across the table.

Dzivielevski was up to nearly 600,000 at the last break but has since fallen all the way down to around 130,000.
