Patrick Tardif
Patrick Tardif

Patrick Tardif shoved his last 140,000 from middle position and Jordan Spurlin jammed for a little more than 400,000 from the next seat over. Hernan Salazar called them both.

Patrick Tardif: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Jordan Spurlin: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Hernan Salazar: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Hernan held on to eliminate both players with queens and nines.

Daniel Anton

Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Daniel Anton got his last 185,000 chips in on a flop of {3-Spades}{j-Spades}{q-Spades}, and after about a minute of thought was called by David Matsumoto.

Daniel Anton: {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
David Matsumoto: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}

Anton was surprised to see Matsumoto had a flush after not being immediately called.

The board completed with the {5-Diamonds} and {9-Hearts}, sending Anton to the payout cage.

Big O

Patrick Tardif is now on the super short-stack after an all-in preflop Big O hand with Jordan Spurlin.

Jordan Spurlin: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Patrick Tardif: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Tardif barely had Spurlin covered by 70,000 chips and was left with just that following the {5-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs} board, giving Spurlin a winning straight and a six-low.

Daniel Negreanu Eliminated in 18th Place ($6,846)

Level 27
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Daniel Negreanu shoved his last 50,000 from middle position and David Matsumoto came along in the small blind while Hernan Salazar called from the big blind.

The flop was {2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Matsumoto checked. Salazar bet 50,000 and Matsumoto called.

The turn was {2-Clubs} and both players checked. The river was {10-Clubs}.

Matsumoto checked and Salazar fired 100,000 on the river. Matsumoto folded and it was time to learn Negreanu's fate.

Salazar turned over {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} for the straight and the ace-four low. Negreanu showed {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} for the losing hand and he was out in 18th place.

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Daniel Negreanu's tournament life is hanging by a thread after a pot with Hernan Salazar.

Salazar raised from the button into Negreanu's big blind, and Negreanu defended.

With just over 200,000 left, Negreanu led out on the {9-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} board, and Salazar called.

Negreanu bet again on the {a-Diamonds} turn, leaving himself 70,000 behind. Salazar called again.

Negreanu then checked the {q-Diamonds} on the river, and Salazar put out a bet that would put Negreanu all-in if he called.

After a bit of thought, Negreanu frustratedly tossed his cards into the muck saying, "Just no queen or no diamond. Shit."
