Guilbert Pays Off a Bet, Seiver Chops it Up

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

On the river {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs}, Johan Guilbert faced a small bet of 3,500 from the player on his right.

Guilbert tanked for about a minute, then made the call. His opponent turned over {10-Spades}{7-Spades} and Guilbert nodded, acknowledging that he was beat.

On a neighboring table, Scott Seiver faced an all-in bet preflop from the player on his right. Seiver put in the call with the bigger stack.

All In Player: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Scott Seiver: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The board was no sweat for either player as {2-Hearts}{a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} hit the board for a chop pot.

Wilson Doubles on Guilbert

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On a four-way pot with around 30,000 already in the middle, the flop was showing {2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} when Johan Guilbert bet 6,500 from the small blind. Brock Wilson pushed all his chips in the middle for 32,500 and Deividas Daubaris as the other player folded. Guilbert tossed a chip for the call and they revealed their cards:

Brock Wilson: {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Johan Guilbert: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Wilson had the best hand and doubled up after the {4-Clubs} and the {2-Clubs} completed the board.

Laplante Gets Counterfeited

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ryan Laplante raised all-in on a flop of {3-Hearts}{k-Spades}{2-Clubs} and his heads-up opponent called with less.

Opponent: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Ryan Laplante: {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Laplante was ahead with two pair but the {3-Diamonds} on the turn counterfeited his hand, and the {a-Spades} on the river only made things worse. The opponent doubled and Laplante was left with around 25,000.
