Howard Doubles and Knocks Out Guillette

Three players got their stacks in the middle preflop on table 519. Jean Guillette and Patrick Howard were both at risk against Ren Lin, who had the biggest stack.

The board came {j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Guillette took the lead with a set of jacks on the flop, but Howard drilled a set of queens on the turn.

After the stacks were counted, Howard doubled through Lin, and Guillette was eliminated.

Wien revealed {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and was in bad shape for the double up, facing {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} in Kalev's hand. The board brought {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Wien made his way to the exit.

Basile Gets Fold from Negreanu

Christopher Basile completed in the small blind and Daniel Negreanu checked his option in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Basile led out with a bet of 10,000. Negreanu called.

Basile fired a bet of 30,000 on the {a-Hearts} turn and Negreanu folded.

Liu Doubles on Lee

After an open, Qing Liu shoved for 136,000 and after some thinking, Jongwook Lee reshoved for a stack above 400,000. The initial raiser folded and the cards were revealed.

Lee had the dominated hand, and Liu got the double up after the board brought {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

Theologis Puts Chalot to the Test

Both players checked the {9-Spades} turn and saw the {q-Hearts} river.

Theologis pondered his decision for two minutes before moving all in. Chalot quickly folded as he has lost a majority of his stack to start the day.
