Rojanavongse Bets Big on the River

Dan Heimiller raised to 4,500 from middle position and was called by Guy Cicconi from the blinds and Ott Rojanavongse from under the gun, who had limped in.

Rojanavongse bet out 4,500 on the flop and Heimiller raised to 11,000. Both opponents called, then all three players checked the turn.

On the river, Rojanavongse bet 25,000, Heimiller folded, but Cicconi called. Rojanavongse showed for the turned nut flush and Cicconi mucked.

Rojanavongse had taken a few hits to his stack after nearing 200,000 earlier in the day but is back up to around 110,000 with that pot.

Hartman Finds the Call

With about 50,000 in the middle the board read and Tony Hartman was faced with a bet of 8,000.

Hartman tanked for about a minute, trying to dig deep. If he called and lost he would only have less than 10,000 chips remaining. Eventually, he splashed in the 8,000 chips and his opponent tabled for a busted flush draw. Hartman scooped the pot when he showed .

Doyle Brunson Can't Resist Lure of Another WSOP

We haven't seen him yet, but according to Doyle Brunson he can't resist the lure of another WSOP.

Earlier this year he tweeted out that he would be playing "a few select tournaments" during the 2021 World Series of Poker.

Poker fans will surely be looking forward to potentially seeing the ten-time bracelet winner in action in some of the bigger buy-in Mixed Game events such as the $50,000 Poker Players Championship.

Lewis Shoves the Flop

An under-the-gun player raised pre-flop before Rick Lewis three-bet to 7,000 two seats to his left. Action folded back around, and the original raiser called and checked in the dark.

Lewis shoved his remaining stack, about 25,000, in the middle. "I know you had to do that no matter what," his opponent said.

"Do you want to see," Lewis asked.

"I want to see," the under-the-gun player responded.

"After the hand is over," Lewis responded as they both shared a laugh.

His opponent eventually folded face-up, while Lewis showed .

A few hands earlier, Lewis had lost most of his chips to Paul Kozusko with against pocket fives on a flop.

In total, Event #52: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship drew 5,404 players — generating a $4,809,560 prize pool. Of those, 811 will make the money, with a min-cash being worth $1,601.

The eventual winner will take home $561,060 in addition to a World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

In a five-way limped pot, the flop came . The action checked to the player who limped in first and he fired out a bet of 4,000 and only Michael Thomas made the call.

On the turn, the player who bet the flop checked to Thomas who threw in a bet of 12,000. It seemed an easy fold as his opponents cards quickly hit the muck.
