Wheel for Deeb

Level 6 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb saw a flop four ways out of the small blind in a single-raised pot.

All four players checked on the flop of {k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and the initial raiser fired out a bet of 11,000 on the {3-Hearts} turn. Only Deeb called.

Deeb checked on the {7-Diamonds} river and his opponent checked back.

"Wheel," Deeb announced and turned over {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. His opponent mucked.

Jachtmann Doubles Through Kurtzman

Level 5 : 400/800, 800 ante

With just two players in contention for the pot until the {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} turn, Eric Kurtzman bet 8,000 and Jan-Peter Jachtmann jammed for the final 26,300. Kurtzman asked for a count and for his bet size to be pulled in.

"I know I am way behind but I'm gonna call," Kurtzman announced and rolled over the {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. He was up against Jachtmann's {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a straight and the {j-Hearts} river changed nothing whatsoever.

Mizzi Gives Up on the River

Level 5 : 400/800, 800 ante

Sorel Mizzi opened to 2,300 in middle position and was called by Ian O'Hara in the hijack. The flop came {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Mizzi continued with a bet of 5,200 which O'Hara called.

The {5-Spades} paired the board on the turn and Mizzi fired another barrel of 13,900. O'Hara still called and the {9-Clubs} hit the river. Mizzi checked this time and O'Hara checked back, showing {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Mizzi couldn't beat it and threw his cards to the muck.

Picking up the action on the flop of {5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}, Chance Kornuth on the button bet 4,800 when checked to and his opponent in the cutoff called.

Kornuth fired out a bet of just under 17,000 on the {3-Hearts} turn, his opponent again check-called. The opponent then led out with a bet of 39,000 when the {q-Clubs} peeled off on the river. Kornuth laid it down.

Bleznick Shows Zinno a Bluff

Level 5 : 400/800, 800 ante

Anthony Zinno raised from under the gun and Jared Bleznick re-raised to 5,000 in the hijack. Zinno called and the two players saw a {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop. Zinno checked to Bleznick who continued for 10,000 and Zinno called.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {3-Diamonds} on the river. Zinno led out with a bet of 15,000 and Bleznick raised to 55,000. Zinno went into the tank for over a minute before finally ditching his cards to the muck.

"Just because I don't play poker anymore, I'm going to show you." Bleznick turned over {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} and Zinno said he had that feeling.

Triple Up for Ohel

Level 5 : 400/800, 800 ante

Josh Arieh raised to 2,500 and the button called, as did Lautaro Guerra in the small blind. Randy Ohel then jammed for 9,000 in the big blind and was called by Arieh and Guerra. The {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop was check-called by Guerra for 3,000 and the two active players checked the {4-Diamonds} on the turn.

Guerra bet the {8-Diamonds} river and Arieh folded for Ohel to table the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for kings full of sevens and more than tripled up, Guerra's {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} were briefly exposed.

Flush for Cheong

Level 5 : 400/800, 800 ante

Joseph Cheong faced a raise to 12,500 from Eric Kurtzman on a board of {3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and called, while the third player in the hand folded.

Kurtzman threw out a bet of 27,000 on the {5-Clubs} river and Cheong quickly called.

"If you have a flush, you're good," Kurtzman said, prompting Cheong to turn over {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} to win the pot.

Someone at the table asked to see Kurtzman's hand, which revealed he had been holding the {a-Diamonds}.
