Ohel Eliminated by Klein

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Randy Ohel
Randy Ohel

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Chad Campbell raised on the button and Randy Ohel called all-in for less from the small blind. Jesse Klein also called from the big blind.

All three players drew two and Campbell called a bet from Klein.

Ohel and Campbell drew two on the second draw and Klein stood pat. Klein bet again and Campbell appeared to want to call, but mistakenly put in enough chips to denote a raise. The dealer ruled it was a raise and Klein then made it three bets to go. Campbell called.

Ohel and Campbell drew one on the end and Klein again stood pat. Klein bet and Campbell folded.

Ohel had drawn to an eighty-seven, but it was no good against the {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} of Klein and Ohel was eliminated.

Leng Chopped Up by Wattel and Livingston

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Action picked up on fifth street with Alex Livingston betting and getting called by both Ryan Leng and Mike Wattel.

On sixth street, Wattel took the betting lead, getting calls from both his opponents.

On seventh street Wattel bet and got called in both spots again.

Alex Livingston:{q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}/{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Mike Wattel: {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}/{k-Spades}{5-Spades}
Ryan Leng: {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}/{x-}{x-}

Livingston took the high half of the pot with queens and tens, while Wattel won the low with his seven-five low, which barely pipped Leng's seven-six low.

Campbell Wins One; Let's One Go

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Paul Volpe raised in the hijack and called a three-bet to 75,000 by Chad Campbell in the cutoff. Both patted and Volpe checked o Campbell, who simply moved all-in. Volpe asked for a count and then exclaimed "wow, that good?"when it was deemed to be for 535,000 total. Eventually, Volpe folded and asked if he can see some of the cards that were already near the muck.

Campbell nodded and the {8-}{6-}{3-} were exposed.

One hand later, Campbell raised to 20,000 and Randy Ohel jammed for 142,000 in the cutoff. Jesse Klein now asked for a count while on the button and folded, as did Campbell who briefly showed a jack-nine combo.

Katz Takes From Alexander

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Cary Katz has been flirting with a short stack most of the day, and could have been very short by the end of a recent hand with George Alexander.

On seventh street with their boards reading,

Cary Katz: {x-}{x-}/{6-Spades}{a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}/{x-}
George Alexander: {x-}{x-}/{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}/{x-}

Katz put out a bet, leaving just 35,000 in his stack, which Alexander called.

Katz showed {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for two pair, aces and fours which scooped the pot and brought some health to his stack.

Yu drew one and Volpe stood pat.

Paul Volpe: {9-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{2-}
Ben Yu: {8-}{6-}{5-}{2-}/{x-}

Yu was drawing live, but the dealer tossed him what turned out to be a {j-} — eliminating Yu from the tournament.

Eveslage Put to Test by Alexander

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

With 63,000 in the pot after the draw, George Alexander bet 53,000 into Chad Eveslage, who took his time making a decision with less than 400,000 in his stack.

Ultimately, Eveslage called to see Alexander show {10-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}, which was good.

Campbell Chips Up; Seiver Vanishes

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Limit Hold'em

Paul Volpe raised the button and was called by Chad Campbell in the big blind. Campbell ended up betting all streets on the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board and was called down by Volpe. He announced a king and rolled over the {k-Hearts}{7-Spades} as the winning hand.

In the meanwhile, Scott Seiver lost the remainder of his short stack to Daniel Negreanu during an Omaha Hi-Lo hand. The cards were already scooped up as Negreanu stacked the chips and he made an eight-high straight on the {8-}{6-}{5-} flop with a seven-four combo. Seiver held {a-}{9-}{6-}{6-} for a set of sixes and a live eight but found no help when two blanks appeared on the turn and river.
