Ferketa Leaves Dixon with Crumbs

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Richard Dixon
Richard Dixon

Daniel Ferketa opened for 2,100 and Richard Dixon, who finished in fifth place a few days ago in Event #61: $600 Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold’em, three-bet to 6,500. It came back to Ferketa and he made the call.

A flop of {5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} appeared and Ferketa checked to Dixon, who continued for 4,400. Ferketa didn't take long and check-raised it to 11,000, followed by a reraise from Dixon to 24,400. Ferketa tossed a pile of 5,000-chips in front of him and Dixon announced all in, which was snap-called by Ferketa for a stack worth 74,900.

Daniel Ferketa: {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Richard Dixon: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Dixon had top pair while Ferketa was looking for the flush, and a {3-Diamonds} hit the turn, giving Ferketa the flush. The {q-Diamonds} river didn't change anything and Ferketa took down the big pot while Dixon was left short stack.

The turn was {7-Diamonds} and both players checked to the river {8-Hearts}. This time the small blind bet 3,200.

Carlton tanked briefly before he made the call and the small blind showed {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for a king-high.

Korn Shows a Bluff

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

A player raised to 1,500 and it was three-bet to 3,700 by the player next to him. Andres Korn, on the button, decided to four-bet to 11,500 and only the second player made the call.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Korn's opponent check-called another bet for 8,500. The {j-Clubs} paired the board on the turn and went check-check.

When the {5-Diamonds} hit the river, it checked again to Korn who announced all in. His opponent snap-folded and Korn showed {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

The action was picked up on the river in a pot over 20,000 in chips.

The board showed {6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and the action was on a player, who ended up checking.

Nika Futterman was left to act and she also checked with the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Her opponent mucked.

More importantly for Futterman is that she's sitting with 125K in chips.
