Lewis Keeps Climbing

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Romain Lewis called the 150,000 chip shoved of Hannes Speiser with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and was up against Speiser's {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. The {a-Clubs} came in the window, followed by the {7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Speiser was already standing from his seat and throwing over his bounty chip by the time the dealer turned over the {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Lewis climbed close to 800,000, in contention for the chip lead.

Elias Shoves the River in Massive Pot

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

A pot of more than 100,000 had already developed by the river between Darren Elias and Barth Melius. The board read {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Melius bet 45,000 from middle position.

Elias, in the cutoff, raised to 100,000. Melius tanked for several minutes before re-raising to 200,000. Elias snap-shoved all in and Melius folded just as quickly.

Elias Out Kicks for Bounty

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Darren Elias
Darren Elias

A player from middle position open-jammed for 105,000 and Darren Elias isolated from the small blind.

Opponent: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Darren Elias: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Elias had his opponent dominated but the {2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop did give them a flush draw.

Luckily for Elias, his opponent bricked as the {8-Spades} came on the turn followed by the {a-Clubs} on the river and he collected another bounty.

Romanello Takes Out Holz

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Fedor Holz
Fedor Holz

Roberto Romanello pushed forward a stack of pink 5,000 chips, announcing himself all in. Action folded to Fedor Holz in the big blind, who tanked for a few minutes before calling for his last 50,000.

Fedor Holz: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Roberto Romanello: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The dealer quickly spread the {5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades} board which didn't contain the queen Holz needed to stay alive.

Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Martin Jacobson and Jonathan Proudfoot just tangled in a massive pot that left the 2014 Main Event champion contending for the largest stack in the room.

According to Jacobson, he had {a-}{k-} against Proudfoot's pocket eights. An ace came on the flop and Proudfoot failed to catch his two-outer on the turn and river.

Jacobson was all-in for around 280,000.
