Koon Busted by Kisacikoglu

Level 10 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Sorel Mizzi raised to 45,000 under the gun and Jason Koon called from the small blind while Orpen Kisacikoglu came along from the big blind.

The flop was {j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Spades} and Mizzi bet 35,000. Koon raised to 105,000 and Kisacikoglu called before Mizzi got out of the way.

The turn was {7-Spades} and Koon shoved for 350,000. Kisacikoglu called quickly and turned over {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for queens and jacks, while Koon tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

The river was a brick for Koon and he was eliminated from the tournament, giving Kisacikoglu a pot that took him over the 2 million mark.

Bonomo Bets River

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Sam Grafton raised to 40,000 from the button. Justin Bonomo three-bet to 140,000 from the big blind and Grafton called.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Bonomo led for 60,000 and Grafton called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts}. Both players checked to the {8-Hearts} on the river. Bonomo used a time extension before placing a bet of 100,000 into the middle. Grafton thought for about 20 seconds before he folded.

Hellmuth Gets Away from One

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Phil Hellmuth raised to 60,000 from middle position and Matthias Eibinger three-bet to 235,000 from the next seat over.

Hellmuth went into the tank and gave Eibinger a stare.

"All you have to do is make ten good reads to win a tournament," Hellmuth said as he thought over his options.

After using two time extensions and nearly a third, Hellmuth folded. While Eibinger dragged the pot, Hellmuth mentioned he had {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Mateos Out Again

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Sam Grafton shoved with Adrian Mateos well covered and the lone person remaining to act. Mateos called for the last of it, around 300,000.

Adrian Mateos: {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Sam Grafton: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts} and the turned ace was enough for Grafton to send Mateos to the rail for the second time on Day 1.

Lilic Busts Sammartino and Leaves Negreanu With Scraps

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

There was a three-way all in in progress after the flop as the flop read {4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.

Dario Sammartino: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}
John Lilic: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Daniel Negreanu: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Negreanu was looking for a diamond or king or queen to eliminate both of his opponents. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and the river the {a-Hearts} to keep the jacks as the best hand and leave Negreanu with one big blind, while Sammartino was sent away.

Lilic turned over the {3-Spades}{2-Spades} while Heath had the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}.
