Clock Winds Down as Scott Takes Six-Way Pot

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

The player under the gun raised to 1,000 and got five callers, including Lafayette Scott in the cutoff. The flop came {6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and action checked to Scott who bet 2,600. Only the original raiser called.

Scott bet again on the {j-Spades} turn, this time for 10,500, sending his opponent deep into the tank. After about three minutes another player at the table called the clock. The tournament floor was called over and counted down 30 seconds before hitting zero, awarding the multi-way pot to Scott.

Foutty Finishes Off Bershadskiy

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

After taking a chunk of chips from Borislav Bershadskiy just over a half an hour ago, Steve Foutty has eliminated Bershadskiy.

As told by Foutty, he raised {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} to 1,000 and got three-bet to 3,000 by Bershadskiy, who had position on him.

Foutty called to see a flop of {9-}{4-}{2-} rainbow and he check-called a bet of 3,500 from Bershadskiy.

The turn brought another {9-} for Foutty, and this time he led out for 12,000. Bershadskiy raised to 25,000, and Foutty moved all-in for 52,000 total. Bershadskiy called off with {10-}{10-} and his tournament life at risk.

A {j-} fell on the river bringing no help to Bershadskiy and vaulting Foutty's stack over 200,000.

Riess Wins Small One With Aces

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

On the turn the board read {10-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The pot was about 5,500 and Justin Newton checked it as did Ryan Riess.

The river came the {8-Diamonds}. Newton checked again and Riess checked behind.

Riess tabled the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} and took down the modest pot to help his chip stack improve slightly.

Simao In the Blender, Bleznick Shows "Nine-High Like A Boss"

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Jared Bleznick
Jared Bleznick

The action was found on the turn {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Joao Simao called a bet from Jared Bleznick to see the river.

On the river {7-Clubs}, Simao checked and Bleznick shoved for enough to cover Simao.

Simao leaned back in his chair, took a sip of water and went deep into the tank for approximately eight minutes.

The clock was eventually called and as the count ran under five seconds, Simao folded his hand.

Bleznick tossed forward his {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} to the table playing the board, and all Simao could do was smile.

"Nice show, " said a player at the table. "That was amazing."

The hand rekindled memories of the 2016 Main Event when William Kassouf made a huge bluff and was quoted as saying "Nine-high like a boss."

Stepuchin Wins With Four-High

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Alex Haro raised to 1,000 from under the gun, a player two seats to his left called, as did Frank Stepuchin in the big blind. All three players checked to the river on a board of {9-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

Stepuchin, standing up with one knee on his chair, led out for 2,000 and both opponents folded. "Seven. I have a pair of sevens," Stepuchin said, turning over {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for not a pair of sevens.

"Great job, Frank the Tank," a tablemate said.
