Goto Shoves on Tanaka

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was picked up on the turn as the board read {4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{q-Spades}. From the cutoff, Ryona Tanaka bet 20,000 into a pot of about 35,000. Yudai Goto was on the button and waited a bit before spiking a stack of chips down for a raise that would force Tanaka to put in her entire stack to call.

She played with her chips and studied the board. After about 30 seconds she folded and Goto took the pot from his Japanese compatriot.

Melissa Bryne
Melissa Bryne

The player under the gun raised to 2,500 and was called by the button before the small blind three-bet to 15,000.

Action was on Melissa Bryne from the big blind and she was the only player who called to see a {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop.

The small blind announced all in and Bryne snapped-off her 43,900 stack.

Melissa Bryne: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Bryne was well ahead with her pocket aces and the {10-Hearts} turn followed by the {k-Spades} river secured her double-up.
