James Woods
James Woods

James Woods shoved for his last 3,200 from the cutoff and was called by Alex Jim in the big blind to put Woods at risk.

James Woods: {k-Spades}{3-Spades}
Alex Jim: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} — eliminating Woods from contention.

Stout Still Stacking

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The flop read {9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. Brittney Snow check-called an under-the-gun bet from Bryce Walker from the big blind.

Action was checked down on the {6-Spades} turn and on the {2-Hearts} river.

Stout tabled the {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} which was the winner as Walker mucked. With that, Stout picked up another pot to add to her nice day 2.

Chadha-Villamarin Wins One Off Bonomo

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Carlos Chadha-Villamarin opened in early position and Justin Bonomo flat-called in late position, as did the big blind.

Chadha-Villamarin continued with a bet of 8,500 on the flop of {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and only Bonomo called. Chadha-Villamarin slowed down and checked on the {5-Clubs} turn and Bonomo checked back.

The river brought the {4-Spades} and Chadha-Villamarin fired a bet of 17,500. Bonomo called and then mucked when Chadha-Villamarin showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for top pair.

Ben Diebold
Ben Diebold

In his first hand after changing tables, a player in middle position raised to 4,300. Ben Diebold raised to 22,000 and his opponent shoved for around 45,000. Diebold quickly called.

Opponent: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Ben Diebold: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Diebold's flopped set of kings cracked the newcomer's aces. Diebold's opponent gathered his things to head for the King's Lounge, but not before wishing the table the best of luck.

Liu Leaves Weisner Short

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
JJ Liu
JJ Liu

JJ Liu just made a big call on the river to boost her stack back over 200,000 and leave Melanie Weisner very short.

With a bit over 30,000 in the pot on a river board reading {4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Liu checked from the big blind to Weisner, who bet 14,000 of her approximately 35,000 chip stack.

Liu went into the tank for a couple of minutes before opting to call.

Weisner showed {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for a failed bluff, as Liu turned over {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a flopped top pair which was good.

Mahmood's Cowboys Dodge the Darkness

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Ayaz Mahmood
Ayaz Mahmood

There was all-in action preflop between Ayaz Mahmood from the big blind and his opponent from middle position with Mahmood holding the superior stack.

Opponent: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Ayaz Mahmood: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Mahmood was ahead with his made hand of kings and the {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop didn't change a thing.

The {10-Spades} turn, however, did give Mahmood a sweat as it gave his opponent the nut flush draw, but the {5-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and secured him the pot while ending his opponent's Main Event.

Valerstein Raises River

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Action was picked up on the river as the board {8-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Spades}{q-Spades}. The pot was about 25,000. Lynne Ji bet 12,000 from the big blind.

Roman Valerstein was in the small blind and check-raised to 30,600. Ji thought for over a minute before she called.

Valerstein showed the {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a full house and Ji mucked her hand in frustration as she was left short-stacked.
