Glick Flops a Set and Doubles Through Phillips

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Dennis Phillips raised to 6,000 and was called by Casey Glick in the cutoff and Hoa Pham out of the big blind. The flop fell {j-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Pham checked, Phillips bet 9,000 and Glick then raised to 29,000. Pham quickly folded and Phillips called after very brief consideration.

On the {7-Hearts} turn, Phillips check-called for 30,000 and opted to check again the {a-Diamonds} on the river. Glick now jammed for 72,500 and Phillips immediately asked for a count. After tanking for four minutes, he apologized to the table and Nabil Cardoso instantly replied with a "take your time." Another half a minute passed and Phillips called with the {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} only to get shown the {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a set of deuces by Glick.

"Nice hand," Phillips conceded as he dropped to a short stack.

Goldman Leaves Reskallah Short

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Aladin Reskallah
Aladin Reskallah

As recalled by Will Givens, Isaiah Goldman opened in the cutoff and was called by Givens in the small blind and Aladin Reskallah in the big blind. Only Reskallah check-called bets by Goldman worth 8,000 on the {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop, 20,000 on the {q-Diamonds} turn and 50,000 on the {a-Diamonds} river.

Goldman tabled {a-}{q-} for aces full of queens and Reskallah flashed {a-}{8-} for an inferior full house to be left with a short stack.

Lacaze Four-Bet Shoves

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Mickael Lacaze opened to 5,000 from early position and was called by the player directly behind him. The action then folded to Meikat Siu in the cutoff, who squeezed to 25,000. It was then folded back to Lacaze, who went all in for well over 300,000. Both his opponents folded and Lacaze collected the pot.

Lyons Wants to Play

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Pat Lyons
Pat Lyons

Saya Ono opened to 5,500 in early position and the hijack and cutoff called. Niall Farrell then raised to 33,500 in the small blind.

"I'm not supposed to do this but I love funny situations like this," Pat Lyons said as he called in the big blind.

Ono then jammed in her stack, prompting everyone else to fold their hands, including Lyons who showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

"You had to mess it up," Lyons jokingly said to Farrell who had three-bet. Farrell mentioned he laid down nines and had Lyons crushed, but in this case, Ono took down the sizeable pot without a sweat to add to her stack.

Calderaro Wins One Off Ho

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
James Calderaro
James Calderaro

Maria Ho was in middle position and saw a flop against James Calderaro in the big blind.

The {a-Clubs} was exposed before the flop came down {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Spades} and both players checked after joking that they needed the ace.

Calderaro led out with a bet of 9,000 on the {7-Clubs} turn and Ho folded, prompting Calderaro to show {a-Spades}{2-Spades}.

"I told you I needed the ace!" Calderaro told Ho.
