Weigel Tanks and Concedes to Trudeau

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

With about 800,000 in the pot and a completed board of {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}, Jeffrey Trudeau bet 460,000 in the big blind. Frank Weigel was in the cutoff and went deep into the tank. After several minutes, the clock was called. With only five seconds left to make a decision, he flicked his cards into the muck to send the pot to Trudeau without a showdown.

Vayssieres Makes the Right Call

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Shai Arbel raised to 85,000 from the early position and Nicolas Vayssieres called from the button. The small blind folded but Chris Dowling made the call from the big blind.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, Dowling checked, Arbel continued with a bet of 125,000 which only Vayssieres called.

They both checked through the {9-Spades} on the turn to the {4-Diamonds} on the river. Arbel fired a bet of 260,000 over the line to send Vayssieres into the tank. He cut out calling chips, tanked for a bit longer, and then made the call.

Arbel tabled the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} for Vayssieres to claim the pot with the {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for the pair of jacks.
