Cao Leaves Koon and Others With Unanswered Questions

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Just before the break, Jonas Kronwitter opened to 52,000 in the hijack, Ronnie Abro called in the cutoff, Jason Koon called in the small blind, and Yiming Cao raised to 212,000 in the big blind. All three of the other players called.

The {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} came on the flop and after Koon checked, Cao jammed for his remaining 329,000 chips. Kronwitter folded, and Abro went deep in the tank. He sat back in his chair and crossed his arms while trying to decide and eventually, the clock was called but he quickly folded when the tournament director came over. Koon was the last remaining player with action and showed {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} before tossing them into the muck.

"Show the bluff," the players urged Cao.

Cao turned over the {7-Hearts}, causing various reactions among the table.

"You got half the table tilted," one player said as they tried to convince themselves that the other card that Cao had must have surely been an ace.

Chait Doubles With Jacks

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Tsz Shing opened to 60,000 from under the gun and a player in late position flat-called. Cole Chait then three-bet jammed for 305,000 and only Shing called.

Cole Chait: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Tsz Shing: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The flop of {4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades} gave Shing a pair of tens but the jacks of Chait held up as the board ran out {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, securing him a double.

Rogoff Eliminated by Amiri

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Down to just 180,000, Bradley Rogoff moved all-in and was called by Alireza Amiri in the big blind.

Bradley Rogoff: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Alireza Amiri: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} board failed to improve Rogoff and Amiri dealt the final blow with a full house. Moments later, Nicholas Manganaro departed from a table nearby to reduce the field further.

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

White Wins with River Bet

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Marshall White raised to 60,000 from middle position and Arnaud Mattern called directly to his left along with Alex Goulder from the big blind.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Goulder check-folded after White continued for 80,000 while Mattern called. The {a-Diamonds} turn was checked by both players and the {4-Spades} paired the board on the river.

White fired out 150,000 and took down the pot after Mattern mucked his hand.

Kronwitter Puts Wong in the Tank

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with around 400,000 in the middle already, the board read {8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Jose Wong checked from under the gun and Jonas Kronwitter splashed in a bet of 255,000 in middle position which Wong called.

The river brought the {6-Diamonds} and Wong checked again. Kronwitter thought for a minute before counting out a bet of 515,000. Wong went deep into the tank, with a decision for the majority of his stack. After a few minutes had passed, Wong finally slid his cards to the muck. Kronwitter flashed the {2-Clubs} as he was shipped the pot.
