Final Table Action

The fast-paced structure of the tournament made for a quick trip to the final nine and it was Rok "kamehameha" Gostisa who busted out in tenth to bring the tournament down to one table. Other players that made a run but failed to make the final nine include Tim "uNORTH0dox" Reilly, who busted out in 14th place, and 13th place finisher Dan "Feeltheflow" Sindelar.

Yaginuma came into the final table with the chip lead, and he was trailed closely by Dewald with Jeremy "HoyaSaxaJW" Wien not far behind in third. It was Steven "girlcanplay2" Kelly that went first when he shoved with Big Slick but became the first of many final table victims for Yaginuma. Yaginuma’s queen-ten made trips to move the eventual champion over 10 million in early finale table action.

Eric "Bill_Luga" Blair was next to go when he shoved with pocket eights and lost to Yaginuma’s ace-high straight. Soon after, Wien fell quickly and bowed out in seventh when his ace-king lost to Dewald’s pocket kings. "NJKurlee" shoved next with ace-king but was out in sixth place when the better hand was outdrawn by Kislinskii’s ace-jack. Laplante fell in fifth place after he called a river shove with a pair but Kislinskii had the goods.

Yaginuma pulled away in four-handed play as Kislinskii, Steinbach, and Deward struggled to find traction against the pressure from the overwhelming chip leader. Kislinskii was soon out in fourth when his ace-queen was no good against Yaginuma’s kings and the tournament was down to its final three.

Steinbach found his spot with a suited ace-king, but Yaginuma won an unlikely hand and finished him in third place when the river brought a flush for his king-three offsuit.

Yaginuma ended heads-up play with an overwhelming chip lead and Dewald was never able to get anything going in the final stage of the tournament. The big moment came when Dewald got it in with jack-four, but Yaginuma turned over jack-five and sealed the deal with two pair.
