Ashby's Stack Continues to Grow

Level 14
Richard Ashby
Richard Ashby

Pot-Limit Omaha

Richard Ashby raised to 8,500 from the cutoff and Steve Wolansky called from the big blind. Wolansky check-called Ashby's bet of 6,000 after the {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, and both players checked the {k-Spades} turn.

Wolansky checked again on the {7-Diamonds} river and had a decision to make after Ashby fired 16,000. Wolansky took a couple of minutes before making the call, and Ashby revealed {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for two pair. Wolansky mucked, as Ashby's stack nears 500,000 chips.

No-Limit Hold'em

Michael Trivett raised to 4,500 from under the gun and Jeremy Ausmus called from the button before Daniel Weinman three-bet to 22,000. Both Trivett and Ausmus folded to the big preflop bet and Weinman took the pot.

Moments later with 12,000 in the pot and {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Clubs} on the board, Trivett check-folded to Weinman's 9,000 bet from the button to give Weinman another pot.

Scott Applies the Pressure

Level 13

No-Limit Hold’em

Drew Scott raised from the hijack before being three-bet by Renan Bruschi in the small blind. Bruschi then led the flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for 8,000, and was called by Scott to the {6-Spades} turn.

Both players checked through to the {q-Hearts} river, where Bruschi checked. Scott slid in enough chips to put Bruschi at risk, enough to get the fold and rake in the chips.
