Darakorn Eliminated on the Bubble

Level 16

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Bert Darakorn was the shortest stack in the room as hand for hand play continued. Darakorn committed his final chips against Keith Lehr in a heads up pot for his tournament life.

Lehr turned over {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-}, as Darakorn drew two. After revealing {5-}{4-}{2-} he flipped over his drawn cards to see {q-}{q-} and end his run in 44th place.

The remaining 43 players are now guaranteed $4,000.

Schuyler Survives with a Bigger Boat

Level 16

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Picking up the action after the {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop and {7-Diamonds} turn, Daniel Mayoh called Schuyler Thornton's bet of 25,000. Thornton bet 20,000 on the {k-Diamonds} river, where Mayoh raised to 100,000. Thornton re-raised all in for 245,000, leaving Mayoh in a difficult spot for most of his chips.

Mayoh eventually made the call, showing {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a full house, but Thornton revealed {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a bigger full house. Mayoh was left with less than 100,000 chips on the bubble.

Lehr Pressures Leonard

Level 15

No-Limit Hold'em

The table was discussing the "Dirty Diaper" hand (three-deuce offsuit) as the dealer was pitching the cards.

Keith Lehr limped in from the small blind and Patrick Leonard checked his option in the big blind. The flop was {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

Lehr tossed out three T-5,000 chips and Leonard paused.

"Right color?" Leonard asked Lehr.

"Oh, sh*t!" Lehr responded. Leonard called just in case. The turn was {9-Hearts}.

Lehr checked and Leonard bet 22,000, to which Lehr shoved the rest of his stack. Leonard folded quickly and asked Lehr to show the three-deuce offsuit.

Lehr showed a {3-Spades} and tossed the winning hand in the muck while he retrieved the pot.

Alexander Doubles on the Bubble

Level 15

Big O

George Alexander opened under the gun to 11,000 and Michael Savakinas defended his big blind to see the {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop.

Both players checked to the {10-Diamonds} turn, where Savakinas bet 12,000. Alexander called, leaving less than the pot behind. Savakinas followed through on the {4-Clubs} river, betting the pot and putting Alexander to the test.

After pondering his move for a few minutes, Alexander made the call turning over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Savakinas mucked. "I tried, guys" said Savakinas on the money bubble.

At nearby tables, Luis Velador and Anthony Genosa hit the rail leaving the field two away from the money.

Arieh Sends Kruse Off

Level 15

Josh Arieh opened from under the gun and Lok Chan came along for 8,000 from the small blind. Max Kruse three-bet to 40,000 and Arieh four-bet the pot. Chan ducked out of the way and Kruse called for 15,000 more to be at risk for a total of around 55,000.

Both players drew one on the first two draws before Kruse stood pat on the third. Arieh drew one.

Max Kruse: {9-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}
Josh Arieh: {8-}{6-}{4-}{2-} / {x-}

Arieh peeled a {5-} and Kruse was eliminated as the tournament nears the bubble.

Elsewhere in the room, Jeremy Ausmus, Peiwen Wang, Michael Noori, and Antonio Lievano have been eliminated from the tournament.
