Aussie Murray Triples Up

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The action was picked up on a board showing {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs} in a pot of roughly 35,000. Under-the-gun checked to the hijack who moved all in for 42,000 and next to act in the cutoff was Liam Murray who made the call for his last 35,000. The under-the-gun player also made the call and the hands were tabled.

Liam Murray: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Under-The-Gun: {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Hijack: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Murray turned a set of eights and took the lead but would need to dodge a lot of outs. The {6-Hearts} hit the river and Murray got the full triple up to a healthy stack.

"We turn sets in Australia", joked Murray as he stacked his chips.

Jaka Gets a Fold from Pecheux

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The board already showed {4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} with a pot around 16,000 when Erwann Pecheux bet 8,000 from the big blind seat and faced a raised for 19,000 from Faraz Jaka in the cutoff. After some thinking, Pecheux made the call.

The river brought the {4-Clubs} and Pechaux check-folded this time after Jaka sent a bet for 25,000. Jaka only revealed a {a-Spades} before grabbing the pot.

Unlucky hand for Calamusa

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The player in the cutoff open-shoved for 31,000 with {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Pierre Calamusa quickly called in the small blind with a higher stack and a better hand, {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

The board fanned {8-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, giving a pair of fives on the flop to Calamusa's opponent and the French player dropped down to a stack worth 19,000.
