Stolzenfeld Raises on the River

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Steven Stolzenfeld bet 1,500 from under the gun on a board of {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and received a call from the player in the big blind.

The turn came the {j-Clubs} and Stolzenfeld bet another 2,600. His opponent called to the {k-Hearts} turn, when he led out for 4,500.

Stolzenfeld took about a minute before raising to 13,000 as his opponent dejectedly mucked his cards.

Stolzenfeld has been holding steady the last few hours after cresting above 100,000 within the first 10 minutes of the day.

Nielsen Takes Pot From Martin

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

In a pot of roughly 6,000 on a board showing {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}, Kevin Martin checked from the big blind and Laurids Nielsen bet 3,700 from the hijack which was called.

On the {7-Spades} turn action went check-check. The {8-Hearts} completed the board and again both players checked. Martin rolled over {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Nielsen quickly turned over {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for the better pair and the pot was shipped his way.

Eriquezzo Goes Set-Over-Set on the River

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Ryan Eriquezzo
Ryan Eriquezzo

With 13,000 already in the middle on a {3-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board, the under-the-gun player bet 5,000 and Ryan Eriquezzo called.

On the {a-Diamonds} river, Eriquezzo lead out for 10,000. With 35,000 behind, the under-the-gun player opted to just call and flip over {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

Eriquezzo flipped over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for a better set, much to the dismay of Mike Matusow, who had already been beaten with a set twice in a row at the same table himself.

Magnus Carlsen
Magnus Carlsen

Action was on the river as the board read {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. Magnus Carlsen had moved all in for his small remaining amount of 4,300 into a pot of around 13,000. Armin Rezaei considered it for a bit before calling.

Carlsen tabled the goods with the {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}, while Rezaei had the {q-Clubs}{j-} and Carlsen collected the double to stay alive and avoid checkmate.

Cutshall Benefits from Straight Over Straight

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Jannalla Wadlington opened to 2,200 from middle positon before Wes Cutshall raised to 6,000 from the button. Wadlington called.

Wadlington check-called bets of 3,000 and 10,000 for the board to read {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

Wadlington check-called for a third time after Cutshall bet 15,000. Cutshall rolled over his {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} for flopped Broadway while Wadlington told the table she had {9-}{8-} for the bottom end of the straight.

On a full board of {4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, Dominik Panka was in position on his opponent. The pot held about 14,000.

Once checked to, Panka bet 8,000. His opponent went deep into the tank. Eventually, a tablemate called the clock. Panka had to wait the full 30 seconds to see his opponent release his card and concede the pot.

Spencer Enjoying Fruitful Day 1c

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Spencer Simpson opened for 1,100 under the gun and was called by a late-position player and the cutoff.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Simpson continued for 1,200. Only the cutoff called.

On the {10-Diamonds} turn, Simpson kept firing, upping his bet to 2,500. The cutoff called once again.

The river brought the {6-Clubs} and both players tapped the table. Simpson turned over {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, good enough to take it down.
