Sowers Takes From Reilly

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

In a pot of roughly 3,600 on a board showing {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}, Tim Reilly bet out 800 from the big blind. James Sowers took a moment before tossing in a chip for the call.

Reilly turned over {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Sowers revealed {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a better pair and enough to scoop the early pot.

Thiery's Takes it With a Set

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Preflop action had a raise to 400 from the cutoff which the button and the big blind, Ron Thiery called. The flop came down {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and the three players checked.

The turn was a {3-Diamonds} and once again it was checked around.

A {k-Hearts} showed up on the river and Thiery checked to the cutoff who bet 500. The button folded, Theiry called and cards were up. The cutoff had {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for queen high but Theiry flipped over {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a flopped set of fours and it was good to take down the pot.

Robert Radziemski raised to 3,100 from the small blind and was called by Steven Stolzenfeld from the hijack.

The flop came {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Radziemski continued for 3,000. Stolzenfeld called, then called another 10,000 bet on the {4-Clubs} turn.

Radziemzki kept betting on the {k-Diamonds} river, firing out a bet of 25,000. Stolzenfeld quickly called as Radziemski turned over pocket queens.

Stolzenfeld, though, showed {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} for trip kings to take down the massive pot and climb above 100,000 just 10 minutes into the day.
