Kim Gets Nut Flush Value

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Bryan Kim
Bryan Kim

Action was picked up on a club heavy board of {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades}. It was a blind-on-blind battle as Hieu Le and Roy Kim both checked.

The river was the {5-Clubs} to further wet the board. From the big blind, Kim plopped in a bet of 45,000 into a pot of about 50,000. Le considered it for a bit before he called.

Kim tabled the {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Le mucked as Kim is now well over a million.

Two Barrels Good For Fei

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Wesley Fei
Wesley Fei

A player in the cutoff opened to 10,000 and Wesley Fei three-bet to 30,000 out of the small blind. Action folded back around to the cutoff who made the call to send the two heads-up to the flop.

Fei continued for 25,000 on a flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} but was unable to get rid of his opponent who called.

The {2-Hearts} turn saw Fei fire a second barrel, pushing 80,000 into the middle. The cutoff player gave it some thought but eventually mucked his cards to send more chips the high flying Fei's way.

Kniep Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Andreas Kniep raised it up in late position and then called a three-bet to 27,000 by the cutoff. The flop came {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} on which Kniep opted to check-call a bet worth 30,000. Both players checked the {k-Spades} on the turn and Kniep then bet the {2-Diamonds} river for 56,000 with 78,000 behind.

That sent the cutoff into a brief tank but no call followed.

Atkinson Pulls out the Rockets

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

The player in early position moved all in for 53,000 and Joshua Atkinson just called. But once the other players folded he quickly flipped over his {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} versus his opponents {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

His opponent threw up his hands in despair and Atkinson just shrugged as if to say "I'm sorry that I'm about to knock you out".

The flop was {8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} which gave his opponent some extra outs for a ten would make him a straight but the sweat ended when the {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} completed the board and he was eliminated.

Ford Doubles Up with Kings

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Monty Ford moved all in from the cutoff for 98,000 and found a single caller sitting two seats to his right. With Ford at risk, they tabled their hands.

Monty Ford: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Ford had his opponent dominated, and the {5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} runout did nothing to change that. Ford scooped the pot, doubling his stack in the first few minutes back from dinner.
