Trost Can't Hold

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

David Peters opened to 11,000 with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and then jammed as the covering stack after Craig Trost three-bet to 30,000. Trost, with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}, called.

Peters paired up on the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop to leave Trost drawing to two outs. The {5-Spades} turn and {6-Hearts} river changed nothing and he departed the feature table.

Europeans Clicking Buttons; Weis Prevails

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

In a three-bet pot to the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop with some 72,000 in the middle, Espen Jorstad checked and then called a bet worth 45,000 by Oliver Weis. The duo headed to the {6-Diamonds} turn on which Jorstad gave it some thought before he made it 15,000 to go.

Now Weis went into the tank for around a minute and then splashed in a raise to 145,000, which resulted in the instant fold of Jorstad.

Lee Finds a Fold From Firdawcy

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Stanley Lee opened to 12,000 and picked up calls from Hamza Firdawcy in the cutoff and the big blind.

The flop fanned {6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and it checked to Firdawcy who decided to bet 11,000, only called by Lee. Both tanked a minute and checked on the {10-Diamonds} turn.

The {2-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Lee fired 47,000. Firdawcy thought about it for some time and eventually folded.

Eastwood Goes Into the Tank; Sugita Surging

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Under the gun moved all in for about 58,000, Ryutaro Sugita re-jammed his big stack from the small blind which sent Nick Eastwood in the big blind into the tank.

He toiled over the decision for quite some time as he openly confessed to the table that he had no idea what to do in the spot with just north of ten big blinds and the money bubble starting to loom. Eventually he folded and hid his face, not wanting to see if he would have won.

The under the gun player had {a-}{j-} while Sugita had {3-}{3-}. The board ran out safely for the threes as it came {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}. Eastwood breathed a sigh of relief as he said he folded ace-queen suited as he lived to fight on in Day 3.

Cheung Wins a Tiny Three-Way Pot

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sparrow Cheung raised to 10,000 and received two callers on the button and Daniel Reijmer in the big blind. The board of {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} board was checked down all the way and Reijmer showed a queen. Cheung had that beat with the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} and the ace was good enough to win the pot.

Zakhaim's Queens Run into Aces

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Stansilav Urodlivchenko opened from early position before Scott Zakheim jammed for 100,000 from the middle position. Urodlivchenko quickly called.

Scott Zakheim: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Stanislav Urodlivchenko: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Zakheim's ladies failed to find any help on the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} runout and his time on the feature table came to an end.

Rooster Flops the Golden Egg

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action began when Darren "Rooster" Healy shoved from the hijack for 95,000 and Shalev Halfa on the button called. Then Nick Maimone in the big blind re-shoved over the top for an additional 305,000.

After a few moments in the tank, Halfa made the call and the cards were exposed, with Halfa covering both players.

Darren "Rooster" Healy: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Nick Maimone: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Shalev Halfa: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

"Ok that's good, all I need is a king and I'm golden," Healy said confidently.

Apparently confidence plays a huge part in the deck because the flop was {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts} to put him the lead.

The board completed with the {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Healy scored a huge triple up while Halfa won the big sidepot and eliminated Maimone.
