As retold by Alex Milgrom, there was a raise and he smooth-called with his pocket kings.
On the 10x7x4x flop, his opponent led out for 25,000 and he raised to 100,000. He opponent reraised all-in for about 700,000 and he called it off.
Opponent: 9x2x
Alex Milgrom: KxKx
Milgrom was way out in front with his pocket kings as his opponent had nine-high no draw, and the board ran out safe as Milgrom collected a pot to put him over 1,300,000 in chips.
A player in early position raised to 165,000, and Thanh Nguyen called on the button, which was for all of his chips.
Thanh Nguyen: A♣Q♥
Early Position Player: 10♦10♠
The board came 4♥8♥4♦A♥7♣ and Thanh doubled up.
Level: 21
Blinds: 10,000/20,000
Ante: 20,000
Adam Paolini jammed for 130,000 in middle positon, and the action folded around to the big blind who made the call.
Adam Paolini: K♦J♣
Big Blind: K♥10♦
"That's what I like to see," Said Paolini as he saw his opponent's hand.
The dealer fanned a flop of K♣9♠7♥ for both players to flop top pair, but Paolini was ahead with his jack-kicker. The 8♥ hit the turn, giving his opponent an open-ended straight draw. "It's always a sweat," cried Paolini.
The 3♦ river was a brick which meant Paolini could stay at the table as he collected the pot.
Three players, including Garen Zobian, were all-in before the flop in a showdown of big hands.
Zobian had the other two players covered, but he was behind when cards were tabled.
Zobian: A♥J♥
Opponent #1: A♣Q♣
Opponent #2: 10♣10♥
The flop, however, made it very interesting when 8♠7♠J♣ hit the board. Zobian seized control with top pair, but Opponent #2 had a gut shot, while Opponent #1 could hit one of the three remaining queens.
The dealer placed A♦ on the turn to give Zobian top two pair, while 6♣ showed up on the river to give Zobian the win.
Zobian’s double knockout boosted his chip stack over the million mark.
The action folded around to the cutoff who called 20,000 and was all-in. The button called, Lucas Hillman raised to 85,000 and the button called once again.
When the flop came K♦10♥2♠, Hillman fired out a bet of 100,000 and the player on the button snap-mucked.
Cutoff: A♣4♠
Lucas Hillman: K♠Q♣
Hillman flopped top pair and the all-in player wasn't able to catch an ace as the board completed with the J♠ on the turn and the 6♠ on the river.
A late position player raised to 40,000 and Sean Ahrens reraised all of his chips for 110,000 and was called.
Sean Ahrens: 4♥4♠
Late position: Q♦J♦
When the board came out 9♣6♦6♠9♥ the table thought they had lost one more but the 4♦ came on the river saving Ahrens.
