Kalb Snaps Off Schutten

Level 1 : Blinds 1,000/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jake Kalb three-bet to 8,000 from the button before Brek Schutten, in the cutoff, reraised to 22,000. Kalb five-bet to 50,000 and Schutten called to see the 8108 flop.

Schutten announced he was all in and Kalb snap-called for around 70,000 with KK. Schutten turned over AK and needed to improve to earn the knockout.

The 6 turn and J river missed Schutten as Kalb doubled up and left Schutten on an extreme short stack.

Justin Bonomo recently took his seat at this table.

Halverson Takes Down Pot with Nines Full

Level 1 : Blinds 1,000/1,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened from under the gun for 32,000 into a 50,000 pot on a board of K92Q2. Mitchell Halverson raised to 80,000 from the big blind.

Negreanu took a moment to employ his famous reading skills, putting Halverson on "Queen-jack or king-jack of clubs," and then called. Halverson showed 99 for trips on the flop and boat on the river, and Negreanu mucked.

Brewer Bounces Back From Near Elimination

Level 2 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Brandon Wilson bet out 18,000 on a board of Q103 and Chris Brewer called from the button. The turn brought the A. Wilson checked, Brewer bet 40,000, and Wilson called. Wilson checked again on a 2 river. Brewer shoved 75,000 into the middle, holding back only one purple 500 chip. Wilson called instantly, showing AK, and Brewer a failed bluff attempt with J9.

Brewer was moved to another table where he found himself immediately all in. Darren Elias raised 4,000 from under the gun, Brewer called for his last 500, and both blinds called. No one could best Brewer's 89 when he made two pair on a K10K94 runout, and Brewer had increased his stack to 2,000.

Brewer doubled up again, shoving those 2,000 chips into the middle. The button and big blind called. There was no further action on the side on a board of 34842. Brewer showed his Q4, the other two mucked, and Brewer said, "Wow, 15x in two hands!"

The flop came 697 and Moreno checked over to Lamb, who bet 17,000. Moreno quickly called and the 6 fell on the turn.

Moreno checked once more and Lamb fired out 41,000 this time. Moreno gave it some thought before sliding his cards back to the dealer.

Adam Hendrix
Adam Hendrix

With around 17,000 in the pot on a board of 76A9, Brandon Wilson bet 6,000 from the hijack and Adam Hendrix called in the small blind.

The river came the 3 and Wilson bet another 15,000, leaving himself just one yellow 1,000 chip behind. Hendrix quickly raised enough to put him all in and Wilson tossed in his last chip.

Wilson had A10 for top pair, but Hendrix had spiked the river with K7 to make a flush and send Wilson to the rail.

Matt Berkey and Mikita Badziakouski have taken their seats at this table.

Dzivielevski Makes Hero Call on Haxton

Level 2 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Isaac Haxton and Yuri Dzivielevski built a pot of around 25,000 heading to the turn on a board of QA56. Both players checked as the 8 fell on the river.

Dzivielevski, in the big blind, checked once more before Haxton, on the button, tossed out 20,000. Dzivielevski leaned back in his chair and frowned before sticking in the chips to call.

Haxton was forced to show 103 for a bluff as Dzivielevski took the pot with Q9.
