Negreanu Raises Big on the River

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Aram Oganyan bet 32,000 from under the gun on a flop of Q73 and Daniel Negreanu called in the big blind.

Both players checked the 5 turn before Negreanu led out for 16,000 on the 3 river.

Oganyan went into his time banks and looked around the room before he raised to 52,000. Negreanu immediately slid forward a tower of green 25,000 chips to put Oganyan all in, and Oganyan, with around 360,000, eventually folded.

"It's like the Bryn Kenney situation," tablemate Dan Colpoys said, alluding to a famous hand in which Negreanu made quads.

"I didn't have quads," Negreanu replied.

"You had nothing," Colpoys added.

"How can I have nothing. Impossible," Negreanu answered as he took in the chips.

The river came the 10 and Deeb was eliminated a few spots short of the money.

Lamb Hits the River, Halverson Misses Everything

Level 11 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

In a blind versus blind confrontation and already more than 100,000 in the pot, Ben Lamb bet 40,000 on a flop of 556 and Mitchell Halverson called.

The turn came the A and Lamb bet another 75,000. Halverson quickly called once more as the 7 fell on the river.

Lamb this time slowed down and checked, and Halverson checked behind. Lamb turned over Q7 for two pair on the river and Halverson tossed his KJ into the muck in frustration, having missed his flush draw.

Hallay and Deeb Lock Horns While Negreanu and Oganyan Explore Time Bank Strategy

Level 11 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Freddy Deeb bet 13,000 from the small blind on a 10103 flop. Axel Hallay raised to 60,000 and Deeb called.

Both players checked the 8 on the turn. When the 7 hit the river, Deeb checked, and Hallay bet 130,000, more than half of Deeb's remaining stack. Deeb used a time bank before folding.

While the hand was going on, Daniel Negreanu invited tablemate Aram Oganyan to his vlog. "Most players will ask you, 'How much are you playing?'" Negreanu joked. "Only Aram will ask you, 'How many timebanks do you have left?'"

"I figure if I know you only have one time bank, and I bluff you, you will have to fold because you don't have time to think through the hand." Oganyan explained.

The turn came 6. Eskenazi checked, and Hennigan bet 91,000 from his remaining 130,000 into the 290,000 pot. Eskenazi tilted his head like a parrot for all of the thirty second shot clock, reading the board and Hennigan, but ultimately folded.
