Gupta Makes the Right Call to Bust Stockfish

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Ash Gupta and Jason Stockfish built a pot of around 40,000 heading to the turn on a board of 8J79 when Stockfish moved all in for 75,000 in early position.

Gupta, in the big blind, tanked for several minutes before he called to put Stockfish at risk. Stockfish turned over 99 for the turned set, but Gupta had J10 for a straight.

The river came the 3 and Stockfish made a hasty exit from the room.

"Nice call, bro," tablemate Abdullah Al-Shanti told Gupta following the hand.

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Renan Bruschi opened to 7,000 from the small blind and was called by Jon Shoreman in the big blind.

Bruschi continued for 10,000 on the 7910 flop with Shoreman making the call to see a turn.

The 3 turn saw Bruschi continue his aggression with a second bet, this time sizing up to 32,000. Shoreman took his time but eventually tossed his hand into the muck to take a small hit to his stack.

Zinno Folds to Pisarenko's Shove

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Maksim Pisarenko took two on the first draw, while Anthony Zinno drew one and both players checked. The same action was repeated on the second draw, but this time Zinno put out a bet.

Pisarenko called and both players drew one. Zinno now bet again and Pisarenko moved all in, placing the rest of his chips directly in front of Zinno.

Zinno, though, gave up his hand and Pisarenko showed a 7-6 as he took the pot.

Todd Brunson
Todd Brunson

No-Limit Hold'em

Todd Brunson raised to 5,000 from under the gun and Clifford Ziff defended his big blind.

The flop came Q35 and Brunson continued for 10,000. Ziff then raised to 45,000, Brunson moved all in, and Ziff called for his last 65,000.

Clifford Ziff: 53
Todd Brunson: AA

Ziff had hit two pair to outflop the aces of Brunson as the 6 fell on the turn. The river, though, came the Q and Ziff's two pair was counterfeited. "Get out of here," he cried out as he shot out of his seat.

Brunson, playing underneath his legendary father's Main Event banner, took the pot and climbed over 400,000, making him the clear chip leader in the room.

No-Limit Hold'em

Viktor Blom just tangled with start-of-day chip leader Andres Korn in a massive pot that saw the online legend climb above 300,000.

Blom and Korn exchanged a series of pre-flop raises until Blom, in the big blind, was all in for 155,000 as Korn had a good portion of his stack in the middle in the cutoff.

Viktor Blom: KK
Andres Korn: AQ

The board ran out 682J2 and Blom's kings stayed in front to catapult him near the top of the chip counts and drop Korn down into the middle of the pack.
