Newell Flops the World

Fausto Tantillo bet 13,000 from the hijack and was called by the cutoff, small blind and Jonathan Newell in the big blind.

The monotone flop of 7♠4♠2♠ encouraged Newell to move all in and covered the three remaining players. Tantillo folded, the cutoff called for 160,000 and the small blind folded.

The cutoff's set of sevens was behind Newell's flopped flush. The board did not pair as the 9♣8♦ completed the board and Newell dragged in the pot.

Action folded to Jamie Flynn in the small blind who bet enough to put the big blind at risk for 80,000. The big blind took their time, looking at the clock to see how close they were to the money and assessed the size of their stack. They opted to make the call.

Before the cards were fanned on the table Flynn said "I will take a chop!" but they soon changed their mind after the flop of 7♣3♠2♣ give them a pair of treys.

The disappointed big blind stood up for extra equity, but it was no help as the Q♠K♥ completed the board to send them to the exit.

On a heads-up completed board of 10♣4♥K♣6♠10♥, the pot already had 120,000 in it when Lucas Tae moved all in to cover his opponent, Ezequiel Waigel.

Waigel then went into the tank for several minutes, until Tae called the clock on him. As his clock neared zero, he set out his chips and made the call, to which Tae sighed and flipped over 7♠8♠ for a whopping eight-high and Waigel proudly revealed K♠J♦ to win the pot with his king.

The flop came out 5♦6♦8♠ and both players checked.

The turn was the 4♥ and Chen bet 10,000 and the cutoff called again.

The river brought the J♣ and Chen bet out 25,000. The cutoff went into the think tank and called and mucked when he saw Chen's A♥J♠.

Ran Ilani was sitting in the early position and was in the tank. After a while, he opted to bet 82,000. His opponent in the middle position took his time too, and decided to shove. Ilani glanced at his cards once more before making the call with the bigger stack.
