With a healthy pot already built by the river on a completed board of K♣9♠2♥5♠K♥, Connor Drinan bet from the small blind but then got raised by Young Ko in the cutoff.
Drinan shrug-called and saw Ko's K♦10♣ for trip kings with a ten. Drinan then happily showed K♠J♥ for trip kings with a jack kicker to take the pot.
Limit Hold'em
Greg Mascio raised in the cutoff before Nick Guagenti three-bet on the button. Chino Rheem called in the small blind, as did Mascio as they went three-handed to the 10♥2♦3♠ flop.
Guagenti continued with a bet and both opponents called. The turn came the J♦ and Rheem now led out.
Mascio called, but Guagenti put in a raise. Rheem called, as did Mascio to the 2♠ river, where Mascio opened the betting. Guagenti quickly called.
"He's got to have two tens. How can I be good here? The pot's so f**king big," Rheem said as he tanked before committing the chips.
Mascio didn't have two tens, showing A♠A♣, but Guagenti did as he turned over 10♣10♠ for the full house to win the massive pot.

Binh Ly completed Scott Bohlman's bring-in and got a call from Scott Seiver before Bohlman folded.
Each player paired their door card on fourth street and Ly bet. Seiver called and on fifth street, both players caught a ten.
Ly kept betting and got another call from Seiver. On sixth street, Ly caught one of Seiver's threes and bet again.
Seiver now thought for a bit before scooping up his cards and sending them back to the dealer.
Meanwhile, Ray Fishman was eliminated at an adjacent table.

Both David Funkhouser and Brandon Shack-Harris put in multiple bets heading to sixth street, where Funkhouser bet again.
Shack-Harris called and Funkhouser continued betting on seventh. Shack-Harris again called.
"Straight," Funkhouser said, showing A♣J♦ for Broadway. Shack-Harris mucked his 10x8x in frustration as he made a worse straight.

Brad Ruben bet on fourth street and was called by Michael Chow, while Ben Diebold got out of the way.
Chow bet on fifth street and Ruben called. Both players checked sixth and seventh.
Ruben turned over 7x4x for 10-7-4-3-A and Chow mucked.
Christopher Claassen busted John Hennigan a few hands earlier at this table and is himself flirting with the 500,000-chip milestone.

Picking action up on fourth street, a short-stacked Derek DeWitt bet and got called by Phil Hellmuth and Phil Hui.
On fifth street, after DeWitt checked, Hellmuth now bet, Hui called, and DeWitt check-raised for his last 26,000. Both Phils called and went to sixth street which they checked.
On seventh street, Hellmuth bet and got a call from Hui. Hellmuth showed down his ace-high flush and eighty-seven low, which scooped the pot to eliminate DeWitt.
With its ever-growing backlog of deserving players and industry professionals waiting for their time to be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame, some players are calling for changes to the nomination and induction process.
One of those players is Daniel Negreanu, poker's biggest ambassador and himself a member of the Poker Hall of Fame who was inducted in 2014. Negreanu has long called for overhauls to the Poker Hall of Fame nomination process and renewed his calls this week on his daily vlog during the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP).
"How I would fix the Hall of Fame is this: every single year, two players get in — players, not contributors," Negreanu told his vlog viewers. "Every single year, two players get in. Every third year ... we add an additional third person who is a contributor to the game. That would be the Isai Scheinbergs and the Matt Savages of the world. Every three years, one of them would get in. That way, we don't have to constantly compare apples to oranges."

The hand before, Taylor had moved all in with J♠Q♣10♦ showing on his board and Connor Drinan, showing A♥7♠3♣, tanked for about a minute before he mucked.
