Brewer and Polk Hold the Same Lead

Chris Brewer and Anthony Zinno were involved in a three-bet pot with 260,000 in the middle. The flop came 10♥9♠2♠ and Brewer check-called a bet of 45,000 from Zinno.

The turn was the 9♣ and both players checked to the Q♠ on the river. Brewer led out with a bet of 300,000 on the river and Zinno dumped his cards into the muck.

At the same table, Doug Polk is also off to the same lead in his matchup with Roberto Perez.

Polk Doesn't Fall For the Trap

The flop came 4♣10♥2♦ and Perez continued for 85,000. Polk called to the 4♦ turn where both players checked.

The river came the 10♦ and Perez checked again. Polk quickly checked back and Perez opened up A♠10♠ for trips.

"Would've been a bad time to bluff," Polk said.

Khun and Tice Trade Pots

Chanracy Khun raised to 15,000 on the button and Landon Tice reraised to 60,000 in the big blind. Khun called and the flop of A♦Q♦7♦ hit the felt. Tice led out with a bet of 12,000 and Khun stuck around for the 7♥ on the turn.

Tice checked this time and Khun put out a bet of 40,000 which prompted Tice to send his cards to the muck.

Two hands later, Khun made it 15,000 again and Tice just called. The flop fell A♠9♣8♥ and Tice check-called a bet of 10,000 on the flop along with a bet of 70,000 on the 3♦ turn card.

The river was the K♦ and Tice checked one more time. Khun counted out a bet of 150,000 and Tice looked him up. Khun held 10♦7♠ for a missed straight draw while Tice showed A♥10♠ for top pair.

Polk Takes the Lead with Rivered Flush

Roberto Perez raised to 15,000 from the small blind and Doug Polk proceeded to three-bet to 60,000. Perez made the call

Polk check-called a 90,000 bet from Perez on the 10♥J♦A♥ flop. Both players checked the 7♥ turn, leading to the 2♥ being dealt on the river.

Polk fired 200,000 sending his opponent deep into the tank. After using two time extension chips, Perez made the call and mucked when Polk showed 10♦9♥ for a nine-high flush.

Threes Win For Tice; Winter Puts in a Four-Bet

The river came the J♦ and Khun checked, with Tice quickly checking behind. Tice opened up 3♠3♦ to win the pot as action as been slow and steady in the early going of this quarterfinal match.

At the same time across the table, Eric Wasserson three-bet to 55,000 before Sean Winter put in a four-bet to 155,000. Wasserson quickly folded. The players remain virtually even in chips.

The 10♠ paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the 4♠ on the river. Perez made an overbet of 80,000 and Polk went into the tank for a minute before making the call. Perez tabled 10♣6♠ for trip tens which was enough to win the pot.
